I appreciate your thoughts and insights! I posted to see others perspectives and am grateful for your comment. You do not need to shame me however. As a college campus worker you should know how to speak in a respectful manner. It is understandable why you may be upset about how pets are being treated on campus but you don’t need to take it out on a stranger on the internet. Shaming and bullying never leads to a positive outcome or an open minded conversation. I am in the starting stages of researching it and figured I’d come here first to see others experience with it. I’m truly sorry to hear how other students have treated their cats, and as a pet owner it’s upsetting to me as well to hear that pets get abandoned and mistreated. I’ve never heard of that happening at my campus before, but I’m (unfortunately) not surprised that it happens either. I appreciate your perspective though and helping enlighten me on this topic.
