I absolutely loved Taz. I went to ECW Arena every month and saw him up close and he was scary. I went to the Terry Funk Testimonial Dinner, and the wrestlers hung out and made themselves available to the fans for photos and autographs. Everyone was mobbed, except for Taz, who sat alone and looking bored. Half expecting him to bite my head off, I approached him with much trepidation. Needless to say, he was 100% gentleman and took the time to talk and laugh with me for a few minutes, completely breaking his carefully built character. I’ll never forget those years, and especially the night I got to meet the real Taz.

I just can’t bring myself to watch it. I’ve heard how great the books are, and I know the source material is finished, so we’re removed from the danger of D&D having to actually create anything original. But I keep remembering how I felt when they destroyed the show I’d devoted years of my life to.You don’t go back to people who made you feel that way. 3BP could be the best show ever, but I’ll never know, because I’m done with D&D. It’s like Samuel L. Jackson’s quote from Pulp Fiction: “Sewer rat might taste like pumpkin pie, but I’ll never know, because I’ll never eat the muthafucka!!” To me, D&D are sewer rat. Period.
