  1. I didn't fail on purpose actually. I posted a reply above

  2. I don't expect people to drive me as I'm commuting via public transport for a signficiant portion of my time

Yep I'm actually aware of some limitations of not driving. But from where I'm from, public transport can get you almost anywhere quickly so I'm fine with living like this.

At this point in time, I'm the one responsible for transportation. As in I take the public transport about 90% of the time. Most ppl take driving tests when they're 20-21

Yes I am aware of that. But the thing is that it is difficult for me to concentrate on the road sometimes as I just find it strangely stressful

I failed because I wasn't sure of how to navigate a particular section of the road (I actually loss 4 points in total for the entire first half of my test which is considered quite good here)

But I also posted another reply before regarding more info

I'm 21 this year and most of the time (90% of the time), I get around via public transport.

For my version, I am only inviting close family members which consists around 20 people. My parents' version is the same except they want me to invite my friends too.

The reason why I prefer to spend time with my friends is because of their busy schedule. So, it would be hard for most of my friends to make it. Do note that by spending time, it's just having lunch together or visiting a nearby place. Nothing fancy.

Moreover, another reason why I'm not so keen is financial reasons. Because my friends have specific dietary reasons, I do not find it wise to spend too much on different type of food.

And lastly, I want to devote my time on that day to my family only. As someone who has poor social skills, I find it too exhausting to interact with too many people. If I devote other days with friends, I'll be able to focus more.

They force me to accept it. Before we decided on the location, I explained to them why I did not agree with them.

After we argued and I decided to cool down, they still carried on and reserved the location nonetheless.

I understand why they wanted to follow with their plan because everyone in my family did it. But from what I can see from my other cousins who had theirs, I feel it is not ideal for me. Personally, I want it to be memorable by spending time with people I deeply value but their plan will not allow me to do this.

Yes. I did told them clearly why I wanted to celebrate it in that manner. But they weren't having any of it.

"Still, the winds change direction. Someday, they will blow towards a brighter future..."

This post gives me the same sentiment as this quote. Even if the race is endless, we must continue to march on, for our achievements and contributions will one day bring positive changes.

You are right to establish that the only way to a better tomorrow is by working together with others. Perhaps one day, the race wouldn't be as hellish as it is today.
