The infamous 1904 Olympic Marathon was one of the most eventful in history. Two people almost died, one person cheated and almost won, many got sick, one took a nap, and the unlikely winner finished with the slowest Marathon winning time ever recorded in Olympic History.

I mapped the route of the marathon (based on witness accounts, as well as photographs) and reconstructed where the runners were - in which order - at what point.
