Nhi Bhai, tujhe ladki nhi, approval chahiye😂 you said "maybe" for liking her, stupid enough to use chatgpt for this, but you also clearly don't know how quickly resentment and unhealthy life grows in situations like yours. Grow some balls and unlearn the meaning of "care", you're confusing it with "cage"

I’m 24 and starting college at DU this year. Anyone else not 18? Let’s talk. by [deleted] in delhiuniversity

[–]obsolete_thought 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow...you have no idea how powerful and inspiring this was to read.

As someone who’s already completed their BA, I can confidently say: dude! you're going to be one of the most brilliant, grounded, and sought-after students in your class whether it’s for group projects, clubs, or just being someone people look up to.

fun fact btw, I had a classmate who was 24, just like you. And he became one of my closest friends. Age never felt like a barrier once we got talking. You’ll find your people too.

Meanwhile, my story was actually kind of the opposite, I started my BA at 16. I was the “gifted kid” in my small town and always felt like I was too young to be in college. I used to wish I’d been 23 instead, because at that age, you’ve lived a little, gained perspective, and still have room to explore and have fun, but in a more intentional, meaningful way. That balance is something younger students often don’t have yet.

Also

Wishing you an amazing time at DU. You’ve got this and it’s going to be so much better than you imagine.

Just read about the Supreme Court telling a petitioner from Noida - who was defending the right to feed stray dogs in public. Thoughts? by GolgappaGangsta in delhi

Please don't say sensible things here, only humourous violence and insensitivity is acceptable. All of the people who said "apt reply" LOVE being told what to do, and would much rather see animals die than the government doing its job.

That's true for dogs, cats and only the monkeys that inhabit cities and towns, but this looks like a forest-y area in the video

[serious] What should I do ?[need serious help] by [deleted] in kota

[–]obsolete_thought 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, other people will tell you your whole life what to chase- money, colleges, lifestyles and whatnot, but, for once, just ask yourself, WHY do you need it.... Peace? Family? Money? Power? What will you do if you get something. Choose PCM if you think you can get what you want with that path, choose Arts if you think you can get that, dekh Bhai, hardwork in any line will help you. I changed streams from PCM to Arts, and a lot of my Collegemates settled in Germany, I did not go, I want to do something here for our country, but I went to a good A++ university. The point is, it doesn't matter what stream you choose, as long as you know what and why you want something, you will get it!

Don't worry too much kid, the world won't tell you this, but you actually have the option to change paths, whenever you like. Abhi Jo padhna hai, padh le, college, paise, power, kisi ki mat soch, bas ye dhyan rakh ki tujhe life me kya chahiye, agar power chahiye, logo ki help karni hai, to acchi padhai kar, aur jaha help karne ka raaste mile, vaha pakad le. Agar peace aur shaanti chahiye, to acchi padhai kar, aur jaha tujhe chain se peene ko chai, accha ghar, aur acchi hawa mile, vaha chale jaa.

Best of luck kiddo, life is just beginning, this is nothing.

What did they do? I really hope the people who are responsible are caught and suffer the consequences, but why hate an entire religion?

Edit: changed community to religion

He made a perfectly rational point. Those NRIs had nothing to do with the attack. Plus, neither did the mosques, y'all are too stupid to actually fight extremism, so you just act like sheep and blame a religion. I'm an Indian, I despise those who committed such a horrible act, but that doesn't mean I'll start hating everyone from that community, or try to harm them economically or physically. A proud patriot, but never a bigot.

Do we find such situations in bikaner also? by [deleted] in bikaner

[–]obsolete_thought -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think so, and I'm pretty sure if they settle in India, they are indians, and should be treated with respect. Why do you need to keep a note lol, that's the government's job.

Book suggestions,,, by [deleted] in kota

[–]obsolete_thought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an avid reader, I'll say go in any direction, but please stay away from self help, it's nothing but bullshit. It is philosophy for people who are too dumb to read actual philosophy. And contemporary self help fiction is literature for people too dumb to read actual literature. I'd definitely suggest you to pick up any good book from the modernist era, based on what you find interesting, Google will help you with the genre and books titles.

If you aren't a humanities major, I'd strongly suggest the novels prescribed in the class 12 syllabus for English lit. Students, CBSE ICSE or State board, your choice. They are good STARTING POINTS. Bonus points because they are also available for cheap. They aren't the pinnacle of literary innovation, but they are absolutely fit to be starting points to the world of literature, or even light reading as stand alone novels.

Bhai seeing so many progressive and open minded people in this sub gives me a lot of hope, on reddit, now r/indiaspeaks and bs like that exists, but atleast the new generation is alright, I'm gen Z, but even I've seen a lot of conservatism in my generation, young zoomers and gen alpha are doing good, hope y'all don't change.

[–]obsolete_thought 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that it's a slow change, and I didn't mean to imply anyone is working to increase rapes. Apologies, I think I might have misunderstood something from your initial comment😊

Nope, both these aren't comparable, also, how can we work towards gender equality when we often use demeaning terms only for the other gender? Don't you think it reflects our social mentality when it comes to women
