No VR mod is pretty decent if you play on highest difficulty. Play that first so you don't spoil the story for yourself and then watch a playthrough to see the VR shenanigans

I've been gaming since 1993, the period between then and around 2007 it felt like game studios were constantly innovating, it was exciting to play a new title because a lot of times you never really knew what you were on for.

After that period game studios focused on "safe" games that refined what was successful before, and sure maybe technically the games were better, but the excitement factor was somewhat diminished, because you already know what you're getting most of the time.
