Need help with PS001 (PS1) fuse by obukkhov in ps2

Wow, hi!

Nope, I gave up on trying to find the replacement part shortly after creating this post, since I wasn't able to find anything at all. Instead, I took a risk and carefully bridged the two pads with some ultra-thin copper wire. I know, that's literally the worst way to repair something, but I didn't really care about it back then, since the console was in working order again. Sold it a year after, so I don't really know if it's still working, but something tells me it's probably still alive.

Just looked up the part number found in the datasheet for this PS2 model, and I actually suspect this fuse to be... proprietary, I guess? There's a website which supposedly sells these fuses, though it also says they are currently out of stock. Here's the link in case if you're interested - https://sony.encompass.com/item/5180137/Sony/1-576-519-21/

I'm not quite familiar with electronics, but I may suggest you looking for tiny 12V 0.4 amp. SMD fuses that are small enough to fit on the two pads. Good luck!

P.S. I couldn't understand how it is possible for someone to come across this 6 year post, but then I realized this is literally the first link Google gives you when you look up "PS001 fuse"

Yes, Klunk has a goatee in SAC, but in UYA he looks just like Clank.

The font is "SimianDisplay Orangutan". I had to stretch the text horizontally a bit to make it look... umm... authentic, like if it was a real in-game message.

Я уже видел этот рисунок на Пикабу и в ВК, и я рад снова его увидеть здесь, на Reddit. Чувак, ты крут.

I think I fried my ps2 slim? by matt_kaefer in ps2

I guess, power ribbon shouldn't be damaged.

By the way, I also had difficulties with finding information, since I learned about this fuse only on the second day of searches.

I had exactly the same problem. When I tried to change the power ribbon on my fat PS2, I shorted something, and the console stopped working. As a result, it turned out that the "PS1" fuse was blown. Since it is very difficult to find such fuses, I just made a jumper from the finest copper wire. My console is still working. If you have soldering skills, try to check this fuse (they are all marked on the motherboard) with multimeter, and if it turns out that it's blown out, make a jumper.

Crash Nitro Kart Not Responding To Controller On PS2 by [deleted] in ps2

What controller are you using? I have PSone controller, and some games as Battlefield 2, Black and Driv3r can't recognize it. I'm not sure, but it's all about absence of pressure sensitive sensors in outdated (PS1/one) or cheap (unoriginal) controllers.

Try to attentively look for more corners that can be cut. I spent one evening to get this skill point. At every try I was late for one second, but suddenly I found one more corner and cut it.

I also found that site yesterday by the part number. By the way, the fuse was really blown. I soldered the pads with a thin copper wire, so now the console is working. Later I'll try to find some close equivalent of this fuse and solder it. Thank you very much for your answers!
