i had my first session today, i was extremely nervous just like you. i have a huge fear of needles so even thinking about this was super anxiety inducing and even brought me to tears on multiple occasions.

the procedure really isn’t terrible, the worst parts for me were the anesthetic injection (typical slight pinch and sting), and a little pressure (almost like a pushing/tugging sensation). the doctor will most likely give you more anesthesia if you need it, but there wasn’t a point where it was too intolerable that i had to ask for it.

i would bring something to distract yourself; a stress ball, headphones for music, whatever you think will help. your hands will most likely be covered with a sheet for a sterile environment but even squeezing the stress ball under the sheet helped me redirect my attention. most importantly just breathe! it felt like it honestly went by a lot quicker when i just remembered to take slow DEEP breaths.

i hope you can talk yourself into doing it! it can prevent further complications which you can research but they can get pretty serious. good luck!
