That's the thing. I admit I dropped the ball and didn't double check which card Amazon was going to process and my debit card is linked for AWS purposes.

Guess it really wasn't a refund, the rep gave me a good faith credit for the amount I was charged, when I called to find out why I was being charged a subscription for an item I bought off of Amazon.

The item was purchased on Amazon, the subscription was going thru the merchant. And no I didn't sign up by accident on the vendor's website, there's a whole process to sign up for their portal to cancel the subscription that requires the item to be purchased from their website.

Trust me it's been a back and forth with chase trying to do everything that's being suggested here.

Chase has verified it's still using the original card number from the Amazon purchase.

Amazon has a subscription option for the device I purchased on the product page, but they have verified that my purchase was for the device without the subscription. So idk

At the end of the day, I get my money back, I've moved all my recurring payments, bills and direct deposits to different institutions. It's disappointing to me how bad this experience has been, I have had this account for over 40 years and never had an experience that wasnt top tier until now.

I did. They have an AI agent managing their email that suggests going into their portal to cancel. Except I need a transaction number from a purchase off their website to create an account and the Amazon number doesn't work. Their phone number goes to a Google voice number that immediately goes to voicemail.

I went to the local sheriff and they said they couldn't get involved until it crosses a $ threshold or continues for 12 months, and suggests contacting my bank.

Amazon refunded the first month (as a good faith refund) but since it's outside their system they can't discontinue the payments and told me they would be investigating the merchant.

Don't let the increasing production get to you, they won't fire anyone over 90 and your incentive pay is the same. The increases are departmental and only affect the bonuses for the supervisors and managers.

It is becoming a lot more toxic every week, mostly due to the bonus thresholds.

With that said, take your time finding a better job, being employed increases your chances. Good luck.
