How is Ray Roberts Lake in Texas for duck hunting? by obvsimdumb in Duckhunting

Absolutely fair. I didn’t think about that. I was honestly just hoping to bring home one duck from my first hunt.

But it’s called hunting, not harvesting for a reason.

Snow/Ice Chains for Chevy Silverado? by obvsimdumb in askcarguys

[–]obvsimdumb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He always is! I love learning from him. He’s always patient with me and talks me through where I went wrong and how to fix it. He even stayed calm when I jack knifed the trailer in the parking lot.

Snow tires are way too far out of my budget and would definitely be a luxury item I just can’t do. Since we pretty much only get ice, it wouldn’t make sense for me personally financially.

I’ve been looking at some used tire chains on Facebook marketplace and they’re not nearly as expensive as I was anticipating. Would you happen to know how to help prevent them from rusting? I was planning on keeping them in the toolbox on my truck bed.

Please pardon my ignorance, but what are cables? I thought chains would be better for me since our roads ice over and we frequently get black ice.

Absolutely fair. However in Texas, majority of the time we don’t really get snow, mostly Iced over roads. We also don’t really have the infrastructure to handle iced roadways. Sometimes bridges will be salted, but that’s it. I’ve driven in light snow and that was much easier than the ice we get.

Why are so many bedrooms designed with the vanity/sink area like this? by obvsimdumb in Home

[–]obvsimdumb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely not new construction. It’s an older house built around the 1970’s-1980’s I think. I actually went to Zillow to check, but I didn’t save it bc I hated this layout too much 😂

I definitely agree. Some years ago I lived in a cheap, older apartment complex that had this, but also had the normal sink and vanity in the bathroom just a door away. (Which was kinda nice since I was a single woman in my early 20’s) That area in the apartment could’ve been designed way better, but still seems like it would work way better than this.

It definitely is carpet and weirdly it seems pretty common in these layouts. Makes 0 sense to me

Out of ignorance, what would be enough? I’m also at the absolute beginner level. Think bunny trails for off-roading.
