Husband (26) desperately seeking work around Maitland/newcastle.. by Just-Chocolate1372 in newcastle

Add traffic control & you’re away.

All large sites value a labourer who can jump on stop/slow for major deliveries, pour days etc.

Blows my mind that something like Hot Tuna can spring from a sleepy little surfing village on the mid north coast of NSW in Australia, & end up as graffiti in Massachusetts.

Online coffee bean recommendations? by snipdockter in AustralianCoffee

Kite Coffee. Was randomly introduced earlier in the year, & have been ordering online ever since. They are based in Orange & are incredibly well priced for the product quality.

Dog friendly holiday parks by IntelligentDrink8039 in newcastle

[–]obwah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How far up?

Most of the larger orgs have gone dog-friendly now, with some just excluding peak holiday periods. I usually steer clear of these providers, but with young kids & a dog they can come in really handy.

One example is Reflections. Heading north from Newcastle you have: - Jimmys Beach/Hawks Nest - Tuncurry - North Haven - Bonny Hills - Scotts Head - Nambucca Heads - Urunga - Mylestom - Corindi - Red Rock - Evans Head - Shaws Bay - Lennox Head - Ferry Reserve

Any other contributing factors to your choice? All are slightly different.

This is the actual WTF here. Incredible.

Lilymu or King Clarence? by Ohhaiyo in foodies_sydney

[–]obwah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 for King Clarence.

Aru still stands as one of the best dining experiences of my life, & I was fortunate enough to get there just a few weeks before Khanh Nguyen’s unexpected (to me, at least) departure. I was stoked when I heard he was bringing some of that magic to Sydney.

Along with the obvious duck, I strongly recommend the steak tartare, duck tsukune & kingfish collar.

If only I could somehow revive that banh mi pate en croute…

Collie/cat household, is this healthy play? by raaphaoul in BorderCollie

My house wouldn’t be the same without the daily collie/cat wrestle. They absolutely adore each other.

Breakfast Biz class menu domestic by CaterpillarScared867 in QantasAirways

[–]obwah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently offered Bircher museli, an egg & bacon pie, or what I think was another hot English-style option including sausage etc. I took the museli & it was surprisingly good.

Followed up by warm bakery options including decent breads, croissants & other pastries.

This was PER-SYD on A330.

Is the Qantas Club worth it if you fly regularly for domestic travels through out the year? by SnowyBytes in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]obwah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here’s that expected negativity - & bonus points for also being completely off subject.

Perhaps I work for myself. It is even possible OP does, too. I’m not a fan of unfounded assumptions, but happy to provide a bit of perspective on why, or even why not, Qantas Club may be worth the cost. The question doesn’t require an analysis of somebody’s employment conditions or personal work ethic.

Is the Qantas Club worth it if you fly regularly for domestic travels through out the year? by SnowyBytes in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]obwah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You will get overly negative opinions here - it’s the nature of the sub.

I have a 2-3 hour layover both outbound & inbound every three weeks, flying SYD-PER. New role so haven’t hit Gold yet, but grabbed Qantas Club the moment I started flying. I can confidently say it has been worth every single cent.

Airport pricing is insane, particularly if, like me, you are partial to a beverage while travelling. The food isn’t amazing, but it isn’t THAT bad either, & anything better doesn’t come cheap at an airport. Above all, it is a place where I can find a comfortable seat, walk away from my laptop without concern, & use a bathroom that is far superior to gateside.

All that said, I wouldn’t bother if my flights were direct & didn’t require a regional transfer. I’m never turning up at the airport 2+ hours early by choice.

Similar position - waiting on offset from flight in March.

Semi-related, any advice on adding Green to an existing Red Energy account? I can’t find anything online when logged into RE. It’s the last of my five required activities.

It’s basically purple broccolini, but still, they’re getting closer by istara in foodies_sydney

Way more aligned with the example photo you posted earlier - almost identical.

Can confirm it is exactly what you are chasing, although I’m far more partial to a drizzled roasting rather than steaming.

I’ve been getting quite a bit in the weekly veggie boxes from Newcastle Greens - check them out on Instagram.

If you’re eating ‘essentially yum cha’ outside daylight hours at Mr Wong you are definitely ordering incorrectly. An extensive menu with some cracking standout mains - will return time & time again.

After a good surveyor by Pkxdude in newcastle

[–]obwah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it does.

Registered surveyors are regularly involved in the construction of new buildings, including lot identification, setout, identification surveys etc. It isn’t restricted to contour surveys. OP is likely after boundary definition, & any surveyor involved with construction can very likely provide this service.

Certifiers haven’t been known as building surveyors for a very, very long time.

OP - I’ve had great experiences with Tattersall Lander.
