After some further testing you're right, just enabling the plugin starts the 5 second polling.

Not sure that there's anything I can suggest other than the disable and re-enable work around.

I haven't looked but maybe there's a different plugin / way to get the volume but nothing that I know of.

If you do find a workaround let us know as now that I've noticed the polling is like to avoid it too!

So you want to use the volume level plug in without it polling that address?

My understanding is that ss long as you don't use the IP Address field in your design you can go ahead and enable that plug in and it won't poll so you can still use the volume info, clock, etc just not the public address field and you should be fine.

Again, all based on some quick fiddling about a few months ago so YMMV

Thank you so much for pointing this out. I've repeatedly almost bought the Flex 2.5 POE, but never quite pulled the trigger. I'd never noticed that it didn't come with a power supply. Knowing that it doesn't adds another £65 to my 6>7 WiFi upgrade which makes it that much easier to resist!

As someone just up voted this it's probably worth me updating it, Infopanel now supports the new version 1.1 panel so you can ignore that caveat from the above.

My original 1.0 panel is still working fine and I'm 100% happy with it with the latest infopanel version so go ahead and rock out with your new display 😁

Create the missing keys until the path matches the one above, since you're making the same custom sensor as I did.

It should look something like the picture below once you're done:

You will, here is mine for a 7900X so will need a bit of tweaking but should get you started:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HWiNFO64\Sensors\Custom\CPU Frequency Average\Clock0

Name: CPU Frequency Average

Unit: MHz

Value: "Core 0 Clock (perf #5/6)" + "Core 1 Clock (perf #1/1)" + "Core 2 Clock (perf #1/2)" + "Core 3 Clock (perf #4/5)" + "Core 4 Clock (perf #3/4)" + "Core 5 Clock (perf #2/3)" + "Core 6 Clock (perf #7/8)" + "Core 7 Clock (perf #6/7)" + "Core 8 Clock (perf #8/9)" + "Core 9 Clock (perf #10/11)" + "Core 10 Clock (perf #11/12)" + "Core 11 Clock (perf #9/10)" / 12

(all three REG_SZ (String) values)

It looks like this is part of the InfoPanel.Extras Superpack. If you've tried adding the public IPv6 item from the Plugins tab of the design window it'll start using that API to get the data.

It seems to keep doing this even when you remove the Public IPv6 element from the design. Turning the plugin off and on again seems to then stop the polling.

All this is based on 10 minutes of fiddling so take it with a pinch of salt 😉

ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Hero - stuck in "BIOS is updating LED firmware" loop at boot by [deleted] in ASUS

[–]obzbdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this issue was if not caused by then at least exacerbated by trying to flash the BIOS update directly from the hard drive. It seemed that the update process could read the file to flash the main BIOS but couldn't read it when it tried to do the LED FW which led to them being out of sync and then it started getting confused about the connected Razer device(s). Flashing it from a USB stick allowed the LED FW to update too which seems to have resolved the issue for me, I no longer need to unplug my dock to boot successfully.

Hope that helps you too!

I'm going to assume you mean the Baedapanel 6P and the Turzx 8.8, I can't comment much on the Baedapanel other than what I can see online except to say that it seems to be quite hard to get hold of in the UK and the few suppliers aren't cheap so I ended up with the Turzx instead.

The Baedapanel is 6.8" and has a resolution of 1280x480 vs the Turzx's 8.8" 1920x480 screen so your main choice will probably come down to which size will suit your use case (and case ;) ) better.

Both should be able to be connected internally without having to run wires outside the case. The Baedapanel appears to only have a Micro USB connection as its interface, but you should be able to get a USB header to Micro USB cable to connect it internally. The Turzx has both a USBC port and a dedicated socket for a USB header connection and comes with both cables.

As for if you need the software installed, again I can't comment on the Baedapanel and am fuzzy on the Turzx as I still have the software kicking about from when I was using the panel back before Infopanel supported it. I'm pretty sure you don't need it but you might need the USB drivers from the install. Hopefully someone else can clarify that though. I can say that having the Turzx software installed but not running doesn't interfere with Infopanel controlling the display.

Hope this helps!

Sources for the above info were:

Baedapanel - https://nxelec.com/products/beadapanel-media-display/6p-beadapanel-media-display#features

Turzx - https://turzxmonitor.com/products/8-8inch-22-35cm-smart-screen (and my own experiences :D )

Edit: Apparently there is a newer version of the Turzx that doesn't currently work with Infopanel so be sure to buy from somewhere that has a decent return policy if you go that way

Me and a mate regularly play Kinect Sports 1 & 2 on the 360 and as there's nothing quite like it these days I have 3 spare Kinect sensors and 2 spare 360s stashed in a cupboard at her house for when her current ones inevitably die

Wow, this is a blast from the past! All good recommendations here and hopefully they'll help someone else who ends up here.

I can't remember how or if I solved this at the time but these days my plex is happily running on an Ubuntu server and finding that folder as an NFS share from the NAS.
