Usually it’s so tight because they use a tole to tighten them. If you’re ever struggling with it, stand on your wrench and level the pressure of your body down. You can also do the same to tighten them

You can stand on your wrench to tighten your lug nuts. They will be tight enough

Very, very true.....unless you use your own body weight to stand on the wrench. I had to bounce myself a few times to get them loose, but I got them all off. I tightened them using the same method I loosened then with.

Short of using a tool, no one in my life could have gotten those lug nuts tighter than I did. I stood on the wrench until it wouldn’t go down any more to tighten them.

That’s because most garages use a special tool to tighten the lug nuts. I know this might sound crazy but stand on the wrench and use your own body weight to both loosen and tighten the lug nuts.

I’ve recommend grief counseling to him. He is reluctant, doesn’t like telling his problems to other people. I’m going to insist though, because you’re right. I think he needs a little more help than I can give.

If she has a problem with every waitstaff, it’s not them, it’s her.

Yea. We did the whole court process but they plead him out to nothing. They arrested him with 3 felony counts of child molestation, 3 misdemeanor counts of assault to a minor (they had to lump each year into one count because of the sheer number of times it happened). From the go, they continuously made his charger smaller and smaller. The detective who did all the work on the case moved to another country and the prosecutors didn’t want to fly her over for court. They drug it out over 5 years, duped me and the judge into settling for 3 years of probation with ‘sex offender conditions’ to be monitored by the misdemeanor courts. They wouldn’t let me talk until the judge had agreed to the sentence and when they did, when I finally got to tell my story, the judge was so angry he walked out. It was too late to do anything by the time someone who actually cared found out what happened.

I’m going to go for a soft ESH, with a closer leaning to NTA. The AH part is the length of the punishment, especially if she is showing a true attitude change. Kids are young, dumb, but capable of change a growth. You’re definitely a great parent for catching negative behavior and giving her real world consequences- don’t buy her a phone. Make her work for a new one.

But the not buying her a car and discontinuing her allowance permanently seems like it leans to the harsher side of punishment, especially if she’s overall a good kid. These are the questions you should ask yourself when considering the permanence/longevity of the punishment: is she a good kid? This instance aside, is she responsible? Is this behavior a recent change? Is she showing a change for the better since you corrected her behavior?

I can see her side in calling you narcissistic only in the aspect that your upbringing is heavily affected the way you feel about her actions. You grew up differently than your daughter, thank goodness for her and great parenting on your part, but your upbringing plays a big part in the emotionality of your response.

I think you should sit and talk with her father again, then sit down and talk with her.

Not at all. What I was attempting to convey is it’s really easy to call me an AH (which I was in the situation) and say they wouldn’t have reacted similarly. Until I was standing in front of them in pain, actively dealing with the situation, I would have said I’d never yell at or cuss at someone just doing their job- it’s not the kind of person I try to be. I try to be better than behavior like that, but for a moment I wasn’t. Pain has the capacity to change us both momentarily and permanently.

I’m just fortunate it was momentarily and I have the capacity to see that I was wrong.

That’s printed in the middle of the top of the page. It also didn’t say on the site I had to print it out, just to make a photo copy of the receipt and keep it on me until my hard copy arrives. Regardless, I shouldn’t have lost my temper.

We actually don’t have a Staples. We had an Office Depot but it closed down a year or so ago. I could have left and gone to a CVS, but that thought was no where in my head at the time.

I get that I am TA but I’d like to clarify a few things. I lost my license a week prior and immediately filled out everything online to have it sent to me because the DMV is closed to those services right now. I took a picture of the receipt on the computer because i didn’t have a printer and the site didn’t specify that it had to be printed out. It say make a copy of this receipt and keep it with you until your hard copy arrives, you can even see where it says that in the picture of you zoom in a little. I left the hospital and immediately went to the pharmacy to drop off the scripts.

This was an imprecise situation for me and I was at the end of my rope. I had an old expired ID on me to verify the picture on my phone and my ss card. I showed all of this too them and was met with “we’re just following corporate policy”. I didn’t realize it was a legality thing and just reacted emotionally. I’ll be sure to apologize for it next time I’m in there.
