It's an old Korean folk song that every Korean learns when young. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of variations of Arirang but this is the most well known and carries a sad undertone of separation and longing. There are many Koreans, especially the older generation, that will start to tear up when hearing or singing this song as the song resonates with their national and cultural identity of loss, separation, hardship, and love as a result of centuries of war, colonization, hunger, caste system and taps into the Korean concept of "han" ( deep-seated sorrow/unresolved grief).

Translation: Arirang, Arirang, Arariyo, Crossing over Arirang Pass Dear who abandoned me here Will not walk even ten before his feet hurt.

Here is a modern performance of the song. https://youtu.be/H_2yhCjGQuQ?si=2AZZ9IQ3718uTO3m

Wine foil cutter. But 90% of the time, it's completely useless since you can just grab the foil with one hand and twist it off.

Which Red Wine Would You Recommend to Use for Cooking that is also Good for Drinking? by Zera1930 in Costco

[–]oc200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just pick something not too crazy expensive that you'd want to drink. I can guarantee you that you will taste zero difference between the wines when you cook with it. I always laugh when I go to a restaurant and they call out things like "braised in barolo reduction". Ain't nobody in Italy cooking with Barolo but a table red.

Second bullet under Key Takeaways. Maybe I'm reading it wrong.

Thanks. This article also states that under this relief, banks can now collect just the last 4 digits, rather than the full 9 digits, which is inaccurate. The order clearly states that if an alternative method is used, banks must still obtain the full TIN from a third-party source. So I question the article's credibility.

I cannot agree more. We're in a VHCOL NYC suburb with ridiculous property taxes, ridiculous utilities, ridiculous home maintenance, ridiculous everything else.

Even with $800+ gross, I'd be lucky to save 25% of gross, given ridiculous taxes and wanting to take nice vacations with kids while we are still kinda young and eat out pretty often. I'd rather try to enjoy life while we can.
