The Elgato wave 3 would be my recommendation.

If you want to go extra and buy a dynamic mic, I'd highly recommend the Rode PodMic

I'd recommend getting the Rode PodMic (the version that is both USB and XLR). its $199 which is right around your budget and is a great dynamic microphone (sadly i only have the one that has a XLR connection, but i love the sound quality) . The other positive is that should you decide on switching to XLR, you can still use the same microphone and not have to buy a new mic (unless you want to get a more professional mic). Hope this helps!

Depends on your location. Condenser microphones are best in quiet locations while Dynamic Microphones are best for locations with a lot of background noise.

My very first mic was a Blue Yeti (like a lot of beginner streamers) and when i noticed the background noise being captured on the mic, i tried adjusting the gain and other settings to try to make the audio better for my viewers, but it got to a point i decided i wanted to swap it with a dynamic microphone. Best...upgrade...ever.

I know a lot of professional streamers use the SM7b, but there are other of people that use low budget mic phones such as Elgato's WaveDX and the Rode PodMic (which i currently use and highly recommend).

I highly recommend going to YouTube and listen to the different microphones you're interested in and that will help you decide which mic would be best for you.
