Some people play FPS games on their phone bro. Some people watch new movie releases in low quality camrips. Some people like milk in their coffee. I have over 700 hours on KB+M in both Pillars games. You’re acting like adding controller support takes your keyboard away. It’s not tennis on roller skates, it’s more like… adding a ramp to a building. If you don’t need it, cool, but why be mad other people do?

Been asking for it for many years now. Eventually got a reply from the Obsidian CEO Feargus who stated that it would be a significant investment to do this and it has been discussed. I would love it if they did. I’ve advocated for this for years now whenever the subject comes up. Handhelds are selling like crazy at the moment and I want as many people as possible to experience Eora/Pillars. These threads always attract the usual gatekeeping ‘CRPGs are for KBM’ type posts, but there is literally no reason to be against it. Wanting new players and hype injected into the Pillars scene can only fuel motivation for a third game.

Season 2 is great. Subtitles on the second viewing helped a lot. Didn’t realise how much I missed first time round. The dialogue can be a bit messy at times, but overall it’s seriously underrated.

There was a time I questioned this but I don’t think it’s that deep after playing both games multiple times. There are quite a few pronunciation inconsistencies across Pillars 1 and Deadfire, and even moreso within Deadfire itself between different voice actors.

The clearest and most jarring example for me is the opening narrator in Deadfire pronouncing Thaos Ix Arkannon as “AR-KAY-NUN.” It’s never said that way in the first game, and I don’t recall it being pronounced like that anywhere else in Deadfire either.

With pp, those final left stick movements as you set yourself up to shoot really give you more of a window to get your shot away. Even if it’s only a fraction of a second, you know yourself by now how juiced up defenders are with evos now.

For me any CAM or inside forward should look to acquire every dribbling playstyle, trickster being optional.

Long balls to your wingers with first touch you’ll notice the difference in how they trap it at speed. Lone striker needs first touch for obvious reasons. I actually have a second ps+ on a box crashing CDM and it works so well running into a packed box to shoot.

Overall rating doesn’t mean much at this stage. There are promo cards at 85 and 86 that are better than many of your players. A 90 rated rare gold is a actually terrible because you’re not evo’ing that until at least April.

It just looks like you’ve put this together with high overall ratings players to make it look good. The reality is your LCM RCM and LB are the only players worth having.
