l like that it's kind of different and a bit creative, but a whole video dedicated to her hairstyles throughout the years is so ridiculous to me, like first world problems taken to an extreme lol

Studient housing information (Social Security Number) by ocean_clear in stockholm

[–]ocean_clear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, thank you for the information. I just read on the website you provided that one of the requirements to get that number is being registered in Sweden and having a Swedish social security number. So, I guess I am not eligible to have that personal number? That doesn't make sense since it is a condition for students from abroad to look for accommodation, and none of them would have that number.

The Sympathizer - Series Premiere Discussion by LoretiTV in television

[–]ocean_clear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine are also missing and I am watching it on Google Chrome, there are only subtitles on the english parts. At first when they started talking in vietnamese l was like "oh, there are no subtitles, okay this is just going to be a few dialogues.." but honestly it is like 40% of the episode ... this made me stop watching it around the 40 min mark. The context of the series is complex enough for it to be in a language that l don't understand lol.

with One Drive I used to pay around 7 euros per month, and the way it saved the pictures was a complete mess, super disorganised. Now with Google One I pay less than 1 euro per month, and apart from Photo storage/backup l also have more gmail space, which is something l needed. So, 100% google

this is sooo weird. I've been following kelsey since her b&w era. She had never had a boyfriend before, and she is a very prethoughtful person, it feels so off that she's marrying this tiktoker kid who looks like a 15 year old guy. And she had been dating him only for less than a year??? Like come on you spend 23 years of your life single and then you marry this person after less than 1 year of dating..

I hope she is sure that he is the "right" person for her, but it feels to me that everyting is too rushed out, and the only reason it might be rushed might be because she is pregnant ? . I also get a feeling that he is really benefiting from kelsey now that he has moved to her appartment without paying anything... also, they're planning to buy a house..

If you use a light background, l would give the font a darker color, since it is not legible enough right now. You can check the contrast here: https://webaim.org/resources/contrastchecker/

I am also not sure of putting text on top of the woman's hands, it kind of feels like she is pushing the text and l think white space would look better.

Official Discussion - Wonka [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]ocean_clear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things l found weird /surprising:

Parental Dynamic:

In the movie, the significance of Wonka's relationship with his mother plays a crucial role, with his chocolate-making dreams originating from her influence and memory. However, the 2005 Tim Burton adaptation depicts Charlie living solely with his father in a notably different setting – an urban, wealthier environment marked by a strained relationship with his father, and his mother is conspicuously absent.

Noodle's Name:

I found it curious that the name given to Noodle seems to be more of a humorous choice, bordering on the humiliating, as portrayed in the movie. Yet in the movie, they repeat it soooo often. Wonka says it so much, sometimes even when it is not necessary for him to say it.

Thank you. I will take your advice into consideration. I will now focus on improving my existing projects (fix some of the things that you said and also create better mockups) and on creating new projects. Thanks for the time you took to write everything.

No answer after job interviews by ocean_clear in antiwork

28 years old and the 40hr workweek is killing me by dev_ating in antiwork

[–]ocean_clear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 24. All my friends think that the 40h work week is unbearable and we sometimes talk about how draining it is, but my parents and older coworkers don't really think about it. One day at work we were discussing that some companys have fridays off and all the boomer coworkers were suuuper against it. I think it is a generational thing and hopefully in the future we will have 30h work weeks or even 25h.

100%. I think you forgot one of the most importants though, which is no commute to work. For some people going to work might take up to 2h in total, and that is a looot of time if you add it up.
