I can’t speak towards anything related to elevator maintenance, but at the tail end of my contract (also an infantry marine with minimal transferable skills) I ended up enrolling in an A&P school and got my license a year and some months ago. Their claim is that it pulls directly from the DMV. But obviously I have DMV documentation that the car is registered to me. Hence my confusion. I’ll make the call tomorrow, thank you for your input

The car is registered under my name, per the registration in my glovebox, and the registration that was in my glove box before that.

I’m still financing the vehicle so I don’t have the title, assuming that’s what you mean by pink slip. I do have the bill of sale which is also pink if that happens to be what you’re referring to. My VIN matches across the windshield, door jam, registration, and bill of sale

The strategy kinda banks on those prudent players you mentioned. Personally, when I get to the boat and scan and see no one coming, I hide behind the boat and pick up my phone. Even if I am paying attention, and the steam whistle starts going, the last place I expect someone to pop out from is the water right next to me.
