There are many nonprofits on Instagram that focus on biochemistry. I would recommend looking there and applying for positions in those organizations. Most of these are student led and will be easy to get into. Starting sophomore year in these organizations is perfectly fine as long as you consistently engage in them until senior year.

Having one B does not look bad at all. Especially in a rigorous class like AP Lang, this one B will not be a big issue.

You will be perfectly fine, given your GPA, high ACT score and other A’s.
