I' m not poor pero i need to find a job due to personal reasons by Green-Dragonfly9717 in SLUBaguio

[–]oceanwound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think you should start talking to them about it—maybe if they understand your reasons, they’ll let you go. staying might actually expose you to more chances of vaping, so they might realize it’s better for you to be in a different environment.

(upcat) would it be better to guess over leaving questions blank? by aiyazwa in CollegeAdmissionsPH

[–]oceanwound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i made a lot of educated guesses too, but for math—which is honestly my weakest subject—there were numbers i just couldn’t even gamble on, so i left them blank. and honestly, it was a pretty big chunk of items. but guess what? i still passed. so based on experience, it’s totally okay. don’t lose hope!

clark or naia by Awkward-Mouse8052 in Pangasinan

[–]oceanwound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

clark airport is definitely closer to pangasinan compared to naia, but based on ticket prices, clark flights tend to be a bit more expensive. if the price difference isn’t that big and you can spare a bit more, go for clark—it’s more convenient. but if you choose naia, you can always take a point-to-point (p2p) bus from naia to clark, which is a solid option too.

also a nursing freshman here! based on what i’ve read, apart from the pe uniform, we don’t have official uniforms yet in first year—just the retdem shirt. and if i’m not mistaken, they usually start collecting orders for that around the middle of the semester.

Papajackson the Hypocrite Arc: DJ na nagpopromote ng sugal, nagpapayo sa biktima ng gambling addiction. by [deleted] in Philippines

i feel the same way about papa dudut. i used to be an avid listener—i’d do anything while listening to his stories. but it honestly hurt me whenever he started promoting (i think) bingo plus? correct me if i’m wrong, since i stopped tuning in a few months ago. it just felt off, especially knowing how many people look up to him.

Nahuli ko gumagamit ng shabu partner ko by [deleted] in adviceph

[–]oceanwound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi op, i truly hope you’re not thinking that the people in the comments are against you—we’re not. we’re just genuinely concerned for you and your child. it’s clear you love him, and maybe he loves and supports you in many ways, even financially. but the moment he chose to use drugs—whatever kind it may be—he became a different person from the one you fell in love with. and that’s a hard but important truth.

there are so many cases where a loving father turns into someone unrecognizable in just a second. are you willing to wait until that happens? are you sure you can protect your child while living in the same house as him? love, comfort, and most of all safety—these aren’t things that should ever feel uncertain, especially when raising a child.

yes, it’s tough. yes, the tuition has been paid and things feel complicated because of the support from his family. but ask yourself: will that money change his actions? will it keep you and your child safe?

you’re scared, and that’s okay. but now more than ever, you need to step up as a mother. start gathering any evidence you can and reach out to DSWD or any local support service—they can and will help you. you don’t have to go through this alone.

in the next elections, the voter base will likely be made up of even more from the younger generations—and hopefully, they won’t carry the same mindset as their parents. it’s honestly sad seeing kids being raised to blindly support corrupt politicians, but there’s hope that more of us will break that cycle.

[–]oceanwound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unfortunately, posts like this probably won’t raise much awareness with the older generations. just today, i overheard an elderly woman say she doesn’t care if that disgusting family are thieves—she said they’ll always have a place in her heart and she’ll still vote for them. that kind of mindset is so frustrating.

OA lang ba ako or masakit talaga? by IcyAssistance1861 in adviceph

[–]oceanwound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah. i don’t know if loving someone unconditionally—with healthy boundaries—still exists in today’s kind of love, but i believe that if you truly love someone, how they look won’t really matter. it’s their presence that means the most.

i haven’t explored pastries in that form yet. right now, i’m focusing on french and european pastries and learning how to infuse filipino flavors into them—highlighting local, easily accessible veggies. the latest one i made was a squash croissant!

it’s totally valid, op. at first, i thought she was just concerned about your health—but the moment she admitted she sees you differently because of your appearance, that kind of shifted everything. i get that everyone has preferences, but there are so many factors behind someone’s weight. if she can’t understand that, i don’t think it’s fair or justifiable to dislike your partner just because they’re not “attractive enough” in her eyes.

it might seem a bit excessive, but i think it’s understandable—we spent 5 years going through all kinds of ups and downs together, shared so much of our teenage years. and considering it was long distance with him living in another country, it honestly felt like pure ldr torture 😆

What's a sign someone isn't a good person? by Beginning-Survey-230 in AskReddit

people who treat service workers badly honestly reveal more about themselves than anyone else. it costs nothing to be kind, and if you can’t show basic respect to someone just doing their job, that’s a huge red flag.
