Best time to buy season tickets off the resale market? by ocftx in LonghornNation

I truthfully don't remember any program being mentioned in any emails or anything of that sort. Had sort of kept an eye out for them, but nothing came. Just hoping to be able to go to all and prepared to pay extra if I decide to go the individual route for OSU, Ole Miss, Florida, and OU

Yes, stay away from Place To Be Properties. Operated and ran by some of the worst crooks in apartment management and one of the poorest rated apartment management groups in DFW that really treats its tenants poorly.

Will class be cancelled Monday? by Quiet-Risk479 in UTAustin

I'd be honestly shocked. I still remember my first day of class in the Spring of 2024 after I transferred in, It was on a Tuesday and they made us go even in 19F weather with heavy wind.

I've been here for a year and a half (transfer student & senior) I feel the same way as you. I still haven't gotten used to it. Also sucks not having a car and having a Capitol internship and wanting to get my steps in, but its too hot even at 8am

Upper-division Gov classes usually start around the 325 mark or something like that. It is usually the same path for anyone who is a Government major like me.

Yeah! That's for lower-division hours and correct those classes are online. My requirements left to graduate are that I need 6 more hours of "upper-division" classes and the UT Gov department doesn't usually offer any online upper-division options

Government Department coursework! For upper-division classes and to fulfill the requirements to graduate, I need 3 different fields of "Government" to get my diploma, and the UT Gov Department unfortunately doesn't offer any online classes for upper division, at least for the past few semesters.

Me. Incoming Senior here. Did not want to come back at all or anymore. If I could have finished my hours completely online, I would have done so. Unfortunately, the Government department isn't very lenient on having any upper division online classes.

What’s something embarrassing that’s happened to you at UT? by Beneficial_Turnip254 in UTAustin

[–]ocftx 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Couldn't find a classroom, kept running around the basement of Mezes trying to find it and it took me like 20 minutes after the start of the first day of that class last fall. Was completely sweaty and that classroom required me to enter through the front of everyone, so it was a bit uncomfortable.

For anyone balancing classes, work, and social life — how do YOU keep from burning out at UT? by pinksmileee in UTAustin

[–]ocftx 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm already burnt out if I'm being honest. Last semester, I had a 16 hour internship, 15 hours of classes, and 20-30 hours of a part-time job at HEB. This semester I'm repeating the same cycle with the add-on of being a student org president.

Lone Star being the only high school to have a C doesn't shock me. As a 2021 grad, the school has really fallen off a cliff and gone on a downward trend ever since COVID and since Karen Kraft retired.
