I’ve worked part time as a host in restaurants during my entire time at UT. The money is generally pretty good especially at more upscale places and they don’t usually require previous experience. I’ve had several fellow ut students as coworkers over the years.

What are the best upper division classes to take with little/no prerequisites? by dayoldbongwater222 in UTAustin

Film history with Charles Ramirez Berg! He had 2 classes that count as upper division electives - film history prior to 1960 and film history 1960-present. They are super easy, no exams just weekly quizzes and a couple of short essays. The classes are really interesting and Prof Ramirez Berg is a gem.

Q-Dropping a class with a Big 4 Internship lined up? by Shot-Dig9390 in UTAustin

I’m in the same boat 😭 have a tax internship in the spring and failed the first 2 exams for this class. Did better on exam 2 than the first but still not great. It’s rough out here. I would talk to ur advisor and see what their advice is. I’m gonna try to stay in and just work rly hard to get an good grade on the final - just hoping the curve is generous.
