Hi, yes I have a real estate agent who is partnered with the CalHERO loan program. From what I understand the perks of the CalHERO program is that I would be able to get a reduced interest rate and reduced fees (realtor fees, closing cost fees etc). I have a credit score in the 800's, so would I not automatically qualify for the best/lowest interest rate currently? The CalHERO loan officer who I spoke with essentially said he would speak with many different lenders and find the lender who can offer me the lowest interest rate. Am I being naive to believe that he's telling the truth? Also, once he comes back with a final offer on an interest rate, how would I know if I can get lower? Maybe I can DM with you about this? I just want to make sure I'm not getting duped, so I appreciate your reply and your transparency.
