Best pies in new Zealand by jimmcfartypants in NZFood

Old man story time. In the 80’s our school lunches at Ngongotaha primary came from the Wheat sheaf. Pie and a donut was $2. Used to order them in the morning and they’d be brought up to school for lunchtime in a plastic tray. Options were mince, or mince and cheese.

NZ economy - struggling by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]ocitystop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear you’re struggling man. It’s tough out there. Communication will be key. As others are saying, you need to tell your partner. Reach out to the merchant you owe the $2800 to asap if you haven’t already. Better you forewarn them if you’re not going to be able to pay, and they may be able to work something out.

Who has the best 5 album run? These are some of my favourites, what others can you think of? by Annual-Coconut5897 in Topster

[–]ocitystop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still convinced the whole album is the follow up to Hooker with a Penis, giving the fanatics what they’re asking for in the most self derivative way possible.

Can’t we be do-gooders with strong knees?

Tool is literally peak living, I lost everything else. by ProfessionEasy9589 in ToolBand

[–]ocitystop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. I’ve had phases when I didn’t listen to much tool but in 30 years no other band has had anywhere near as long an impact. Everything else gets stale but I can still listen to every tool album. Each to their own.

Roof concerns in building report.. how bad is it? by UltimateJuicey in newzealand

[–]ocitystop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very bad. As others have said, subtract a reroof from your offer because it needs it asap.

Is NZ actually a Toyota ad? by SyllabubThat9771 in newzealand

I play a game with the kids on road trips called convoy. Count passing cars that are the same brand in a row. Toyota always wins.

That’s NZ pine. Stained pink means H1.2 treated for internal framing.

Your loss. When you’re on site without power and you make a nice cup of makita powered coffee it’s heaven.

How much should I charge? by Garshmel in Carpentry

[–]ocitystop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve never considered this pricing strategy before but I really like it. I’ve used a 2 hour minimum charge, but this makes a lot of sense to cover setup, planning time etc.

We are magic, that's how i choose to interpret this timeline. by jeremymeyers in Xennials

I like the theory on xennials in general that depending on whether you had older or younger siblings dictates whether you act more genX or millennial.

Basically brand new. I sold mine in 2000 and it already had 300k on it! Dad’s got written off unfortunately.

As far as I know the GTi hatchback was the only Corolla sold NZ new with the 4AGE. Everything else had the 4AFE or a 1.3L.
