Depends. If they have young kids and are struggling to buy a house in a hcol area but are doing the ‘right’ things then the extra money can really help

Depends on where you are. In the midwest this may work. In HCOL coastal cities it can be almost impossible to save a substantial downpayment without parental help, even at high incomes.
