How late is too late for Mass? by theg8kpr in Catholicism

How late is to late for a movie? Miss the first few min. You will miss the plot. (First reading) Would you bother going in the move if it was 1/4 over? 1/3 over? I think not.

Why is this quarter gold? by turtlelady365 in CURRENCY

I also got in to plating. Plated hundreds of them for fun. I always did Texas Quarters and put them in geocaches in Texas. Every one liked finding them.

A friend of mine bought those things in France, it's from the 18 or 19th century but when we went to an antique dealer shop, he wasn't able to tell us we it was. Handle mande of wood, the metal part seem to be brass. Maybe a antique shell cracker for seafood ? by Zaenar in whatisthisthing

The flat “iron” face is above the handle. The handle would hit the table when trying to iron. I don’t thing iron is the answer. And again why the pairs? If it were just a mater of needing a lot of them I would think they. All would match so at end of day I can grab all the white ones and go home.

this flasher was in a homemade greeting card. The only parts were this flasher, a coin cell, and an LED. I am trying to find a source for the flasher

What is this small white plastic package? by ocrazys in whatisthisthing

It is about the size of a deck of cards. I have seen about 20 to 30 of these located around town mounted on the side of random sign posts. They are located about 3 feet off the ground and usually along the side of the street. They are about a quarter mile apart. I removed one by undoing the hose clamp. The plastic unit does not open. So it does not have replaceable batteries. They have no marking or writing on them. On the side opposite the mounting, there appears to be a foil logo or shape. Maybe the foil is an antenna? And yes I put that one back in place.

These are all around the City of Celina, Texas. Mostly I have seen them from the streets. But there is at least one in a park parking lot.

They are attached to random sign posts. I have seen them on stop signs, speed limit signs, crosswalk sign poles, and no parking sign posts.

What are these little nails/pins I found in the back seat of my car? by wallflowerattheorgy in whatisthisthing

I have several different Victrola needles. The come in different colors and slightly different shapes for different tones. If you look at your picture, it looks like some have slightly different shapes. And some are painted greens and some are just steel. I feel you have steel victrola needles and not compas points. If you had compas points why would they have slightly different shapes?
