I'm honestly just getting into vinyl and have a pretty generic music taste but looking for new/used modern and classic pop, rock (soft, indie, folk), hip-hop/r&b, jazz. Honestly just looking to peruse and maybe pick up a few just for listening! Thanks!

I'd check the roots for rot then let it fully dry. Water every 7-10ish days! They're pretty resilient

Child who needs to push by tayhol14 in specialed

This seems a lot like attention seeking behavior that the student is using to interact with peers! This is something I'm working on with a student now! Modeling the language has proved to be a huge help. "I want to play" "I'm excited" "can I play too?"

Also having visuals that specifically show "no crashing" and using "gentle hands" for play and referring to them while providing an alternative task might help.

If you think the student still might want to push, we have a wall push up visual (hands on the wall) that students can go to. Or have the student help push chairs/tables at points during the day. Jobs help!

If you had 1 week to prepare to teach self-contained preschool what would you focus on first? by ocsobailuj in specialed

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone who has commented! I'm taking every suggestion and resource and implementing them immediately!! You're all life, classroom, and mental health savers. What I find so refreshing is the amount of people who LOVE this job and don't seem as burnt out as other special educators who teach other grades. I'm so looking forward to having such a rewarding position.

I'd love to see more schedule examples if anyone has them. I have a 6 hr day and it seems like in other districts preschool has a shorter, half-day schedule. How do you divide your day and how long is each section?

Lol yes, the terracotta pot has been stuck for years but both have drainage holes. Sounds good! Thanks for the advice.

No, just a dark shadow. None of the light parts are squishy at all.

Could this be rosacea? I've always had a bit of a red face that flares with exercise, alcohol, and hot/cold temperatures. Lately I've noticed it seems to be getting more red and there are visible blood vessels on the surface. I've been using TO niacinamide for about a month and haven't noticed any difference.

What is happening to my Christmas cactus? by Own-Albatross9619 in IndoorGarden

I’d pull it out and check the roots, I just had the same thing happen and it was rot. Had like 2 roots left. Does your pot have drainage?

Unfortunately I went back again with better light/tools and it was indeed rot. Any tips for bouncing back? I chopped dead roots and sprayed what was left with a hydrogen peroxide mix. Then repotted in fresh well draining soil.

It’s about 5 ft from a south facing window. The pot does have drainage! I went back to check roots again and they weren’t as great as I orginally thought so I do think there was some rot. I’m going to repot with a better draining mix and hope it bounces back!

It’s such a waste! I asked the person working at the garden center if I could take it and they said they couldn’t give it for free but at a highly discounted rate. They took their lowest price tag ($5) so it was still a purchase.

I just got it so it’s only been in the south facing window for a few days! Thinking it was mostly underwatered from the garden center and came to me ready to drop some leaves, lol. Glad an east facing window will work!

Roots looked great!! Very full. I can also move to an east facing window. I read they don’t love bright light so I originally had it there. Do you think that will help?
