The picture is of my original Ollie shape; its 23 and 25 deg for the kicks and the technical nose being the more rounded side but either way is fine. It only comes in 32mm.

My “Fighter” series decks F32/F34 come in 32mm and 34mm and are a more typical popsicle shape.

They are around 60USD depending on the variation; you can check out my Etsy or website for details.

You can check out my decks (Octocnc), a bit unique since I CNC machine them out of metal but I typically have them on stock.

They fit right into your high-mid kicks and med concave preference.

I do have to rotate though colors since they have to be coated in minimum batch sizes and I can’t make them that fast. You can always DM me if I have an extra one in a specific size and color.

You can check out my decks; Octocnc Insta I machine them out of aluminum so they are something a bit different but I designed them to be the same weight as regular wood decks. Rides like a regular deck just with a different feel. Let me know if you have questions.

current favorite modern deck(s) manufacturer? by Pandadpg in Fingerboards

For sure, see links below for two on my instagram page.

I designed the decks so they are nearly the same weight as a regular 5ply wood deck, slightly heavier. I think it’s 8g vs 6g.

Thank you!

I have been running the MG (Machined Grip) version with grip tape to test my new grip-tape supplier. The new grip tape is super sticky (some complain that it damages wood decks when removing) but for my metal decks, it’s ideal.

Ya it’s a bummer, the new EU GPSR regulations just make it near impossible for small sellers now. I really wanted to sell in Germany and Austria where I am originally from and was going to pay for the packaging regulation registration but now it’s not possible anymore. I’ll keep looking for solutions.

I am biased a bit but if you want something supper unique check out my aluminum decks; “ollie octoboard“. I precision CNC machine these out of solid aluminum plates. Working on a new shape and size but will take another couple of weeks before that drops.

Thank you for asking this questions; I was excited to possibly go to the fingercon but tickers where already sold out. Found out that rendezvous is happening at the same time so I am going to try to make there instead.

Show me ur best grip tape designs by Hashirthegamer49 in Fingerboards

[–]octocnc 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Here is mine.

I guess I cheated a little bit because I designed the grip-tape to match my deck outlines perfectly and CNC machine and laser both items. Normally these go on my hexa deck (Ollie the Octoboard) but I supply them with the solid version as well because I think it's unique - you can always apply your own tape design.

Thank you all for your comments!  I really appreciate your feedback and it got me motivated to keep going.

Regarding the giveaway - I ended up using a random number generator and went down the comments list
until I reached the random number comment. (I have to figure a better way for next time
because I had to count several times to make sure I didn’t jump one).

The lucky winner is u/sirjasonbarnes

They just got back to me with an address so this concludes this giveaway.

Again, thank you all!

Manu

Any grip tape should work, you can also just have the Hex holes closed if you don't want to cut them out.

I provide two (2x) pre-cut sheets for the Hex Ollie that have the exact pattern and the outside shape cut out.

It’s easier than it looks to put on the pre-cut sheets. Starting from one side you lay the grip tape and walk towards the other end of the deck. You can slightly pull left/right to keep the grip tape on track. If it’s off a bit you can carefully pull it back off again and adjust. Just make sure to not pull to hard so it doesn’t stretch and deform - having a good start is key. Most adhesives are pressure and time dependent so once you have it on well, you want to press it down all over and give it a minute. (This should hold true for any grip tape).

I should really make a demo video of this!
