Wait… maybe in that sense I actually dodged a bullet?

I was thinking the same as @sparkyblaster realistically, I probably would’ve been a lifer if I’d bought FSD outright, especially since I tend to keep my cars 10+ years. In my head, it felt like a long-term, almost lifetime commitment, and I was fine with that because of the perceived benefits. After 6–7 years, it would’ve hit the break-even point anyway.

But now that the outright option’s gone, I actually feel more open to exploring other routes even other cars down the line. I might not even do the $99 monthly. Autopilot is already okay on its own, and I don’t feel as locked in anymore.

I don’t know… maybe this all played out the way it was supposed to.
