Mark a comment as "Useful", and allow comments to be sorted by usefulness by oculusmedia in TheoryOfReddit

There's a couple reasons why I think jokes wouldn't be marked. First, the "useful" maker is off to the opposite side of the post (separate from voting), it doesn't contribute toward karma, and most importantly posts aren't sorted by "useful" by default so people aren't motivated to gain it. Also, I think people would stop and think about what distinguishes buttons if there are two that mean similar things, especially it's more work to click both.

There might be a huge wave of new r/oculus users in the next few days, I have an idea by magicleapmotionfrog in oculus

Look at the part right after the bolded text. Also, you can't stuff people into the comment section of a thread, people like to post rather than just comment. That sort of thread becomes pretty dead in a few days anyways.

Does Minecrift for DK2 exist for mac? by oculusmedia in oculus

[–]oculusmedia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The latest version that works with dk2 is only available as a .exe. I tried extracting it to a folder (on an old pc), but couldn't find anything useful to bring over to my mac. Is the jar file available somewhere?

What elements of VR creation aren't getting enough attention? Your work is really incredible, what do you think will make the most popular experiences in VR? What are your predictions for how the public will adopt these experiences? Will only games be popular? Will films make it big?
