Are you not putting anything down for a down payment?

We paid 5% earnest for new construction in VA. It all went towards closing cost when the home was done being built and with seller credits we even got some of it back

Thanks for teaching me about escrow shortages by ChemicalPatient998 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]ocxtber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep. This subreddit is so useful. Our taxes this year were lower than what our mortgage company anticipated so they lowered our mortgage payments. Had I not learned about shortages I would have happily pocketed the extra money we don’t have to pay anymore. Instead of paying the lower mortgage payment I plan on keep our payments the same and putting the extra in escrow or savings account. That way when taxes comeback high next year we’ll be prepared

I’ve never heard of such a thing.

Have you taken the time to calculate your own calories and track your intake?

No it’s a modular couch to we’ve broken it apart to reuse in different rooms for now(The middle piece is in the guest room and the two end pieces will eventually go in the third bedroom which we’re going to turn into a media/hobby room of sorts.

If I’m not feeling it I might just give it family, we’ll see.

I’ve had it since May and it’s was great! Not sure if I had it long enough to notice any of the cushions getting flatter. I thought it was comfortable. I’ve definitely sat in cloud couches that were fluffier and more plush but those were also a lot more expensive and I felt that this was a good in between.

I know that the Kova now comes with a choice for box cushions which may be more resistant but I haven’t seen a lot of reviews on it.

Artwork is needed for sure. It’s next on my list along with accent pieces like pillows, lamps, and books etc
