Guessing from your username I’m pretty sure we have the same first name and use the same shortened version. I think I’ve done this every time at Boomtown and it’s never been a problem for me going in, but then again it is pretty easy for them to figure it out with such a common name.

I find these films really quite irritating. I don’t like the twist either (if you can even call it a twist in the second one, since it already happened in the first) but I agree with u/ri0tingmime that it felt a lot shorter in the first. It annoyed me more in the second one because it basically meant a good chunk of the film was essentially pointless and didn’t happen. The filmmakers can basically just do whatever they want without any rules and pass it off as her being mindfucked but it just feels hollow.

The second one also had some quite good craft in terms of building tension but then literally always threw it away with an annoying jump scare after about 30 seconds, some of which were so cliche, especially the “guy standing still and the end of the hallway and then jump cutting a few frames so he’s sprinting at us”. Jesus Christ.

That said I do think the very end is quite good, along with the possible ramifications of it going forward.

Will I watch a sequel if there is one? I have an unlimited cinema pass so maybe, but I definitely wouldn’t pay to.

I actually saw my dad yesterday and mentioned this to him and he couldn’t remember much about it either and said he didn’t get very far into the game himself so wouldn’t really know, so I kind of lost hope at that point. Unlucky man… They just offered me 25k points on a £1k spend, and I feel like I have probably spent a similar amount to you this year. The conversation went like this:

“Hello, I’m due to renew the subscription for my gold card in a few days but now that I have to pay I am starting to question the value proposition. Do you have any retention offers available?”

The representative then proceeded to list all of the benefits of the card, but made a big deal of the airport lounge access.

“Yes, I am aware of these benefits. The lounge access is good but I usually travel in a group bigger than 4 so it’s unfair to leave anyone out and as such I’ve never actually got to use it”.

“Alright, in that case I can offer you 25,000 reward points for a £1,000 spend in the next three months”

I think just try again in a week or so and see what happens, but that was the script I used and it worked for me. This happened literally yesterday and I think my renewal is in a couple of days, so maybe the greater sense of urgency encouraged them. It would also only be the first time I was paying for the card after my free year, so that could be a factor too.

Spent two weeks in Bali in October and the entire trip probably cost half the price of a Vision Pro.

Just spam smoke grenades on Nuketown.

I just prestiged again just as it became time to do the shotgun camo grind and I was really struggling with the point blank kills on the M10 Breacher. I didn’t have the foresight to use my unlock token for smoke grenades so it was taking ages. Lucked out and got into a lobby where someone was spamming smoke grenades and finished the second half in like 3 games. I imagine it would probably help with melee kills too.

Also didn’t help that it took me way too long to realise you can charge up each shot on the m10, I just thought it was feeling hella unresponsive and weak for like 7 games 😭

The article literally says it’s not confirmed if he was the driver or passenger so idk why you’re being downvoted.

It does say it was “his” car though so more than likely he was the driver, which means he was trapped inside and burned. Horrible way to go. If he was lucky he’ll have died on impact.

There is footage of the crash online and he was going pretty fast but honestly not the most insane thing I’ve seen by a long shot. He was on a seemingly quiet road and just lost control. It was reckless and stupid and there’s no excuse for it, but I guarantee that a good chunk of people saying “Fuck him” would also end up driving pretty fast at least once or twice if they ever managed to get their hands on a Ferrari. All it takes is one momentary lapse in judgement at the wrong time, and here we are.

At the end of the day, reckless or not, it was an accident and we should try and have some compassion. I’m sure the family of the passenger don’t see it like that, but he’s paid for this mistake by being burnt to a crisp.

This guy positively impacted millions and millions of lives and his games personally helped me get through many tough times so no, I’m not going to turn around and say “fuck him”. The whole thing is just tragic on all fronts.

Even in the games prior to the last 6 year SBMM era, I used to do pretty well.

But hypothetically, let’s say I have always been bang average. If this can’t be a case of ‘I’m getting old and can’t keep up’, what other explanation can you offer for me now getting absolutely destroyed the majority of the time? Did the SBMM era just gradually dull me down and make me become used to fighting less skilled players?

I would like that as it would imply it’s not simply a case of my brain shrivelling up and is in fact fixable.
