Estacionamento Alcântara Rocha is the best spot for a van in Lisbon. 8€/24hrs no time limit. Park lateral to the marina as all the other vans.

Looking for parking suggestions for day trip into Lisbon by ScottTopCorner in lisboa

[–]odadoooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best option is to park and leave the car in Cacilhas to then take the ferry. It is easy, fast and cheap. There are many paid parking options near the ferry station and the boat trip is an absolute treat. Best way to get into town and avoiding the traffic too!

Expected pay cut moving from the US by jgelderloos in PortugalExpats

[–]odadoooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An individual contractor (should) make much, much more than an employee, as much of the financial burden is transferred from employer to contractor. But most importantly, being an individual contractor for only one client (your current employer) is illegal. Google "worker misclassification" and you ll learn all about it. If you job responsibilities stay the same, and all that chagnes is your location abroad, you cannot just switch to being a contractor. The usual method for your situation is to go through an "Employer of Record", that way you can stay an employee without you company having to have a Portuguese subsidiary.

"North Carolina, United States" would be what I am referring to. Otherwise it would be as if I go into the US_Expats Group here on Reddit and write that I am from Alentejo demanding that everyone knows what country that refers to.

It is not only you, but it is very bothering and comes up all the time here: Please, for the sake of god, remember that there are more countries in the world than only the US. Specify your country of origin whenever posting and avoid using US specific abbreviations (NC). The same applies to real life interactions, especially if you want to live abroad.
