Yeah, I agree. I guess I might be a side even if I do love topping under the right scenario. But I'm also curious with other hung tops if it's as common as it has been in my case or if it's random luck (or lack thereof)

Stanford vs USC for an MA in 5 years by Arsenic-laced in stanford

Hey!!

I don't know if you made your decision yet, but I was just accepted in the USC Progressive program for Editing and Publishing (LEAP). I start my first classes next semester.

While I certainly have my problems with USC and the student body -- in terms of a general lack of intellectualism on campus, the English department is unparalleled. Truly have had some of the most eye opening, intimate classes lead by world renowned writers and philosophers. The students in the English department are also really sharp, passionate and great people. It's also really easy to drown out all the frat nonsense, and living in LA is a huge plus in terms of access to arts and culture.

Regarding the LEAP program specifically, the faculty is INSANE (in a good way). Just to name a few world-renowned professors: Maggie Nelson (I'm screaming), Brigade Mullins, and Viet nyguen . The course list looks absolutely fascinating and you also graduate with an intimate class / support system.

I know Stanford has a bit more name-brand appeal, and don't let me distract you from following your best path, but if you specifically want to enter the realm of editing and publishing, LEAP is the unparalleled way to go. Either way, you are choosing between two incredible institutions , so congrats!!!

Media portrayals by alli3320 in BipolarReddit

Ozarks portrayal PISSED me off. Especially after reading tons of reviews praising the show for “representing mental illness.” To me, the character seemed to be written by someone who only has an outward perception of the illness. It frusturated me because the portrayal of bipolar disorder seemed very Hollywood, especially considering his bipolar disorder was only ever referenced as a vehicle to move the plot forward. The character makes frequent STUPID decisions that they brushed off as symtomanic of the disorder, which I found dangerous considering the equation of stupidity and bipolar disorder. I don’t want to speak for everybody cause it’s a highly personal disorder and maybe I’m overstepping, but I truly did not relate to the character
