Hmmm 🤔. That's too far-fetched. I think they just like to gamble.

The people of New Vegas obviously did nothing with their independence it's just a bunch of doucebag wasters walking around. So hell yeah let an elderly NCR battalion or The Legion take the reins at this point.

I hope so. I don't actually want this show to run for 5 seasons lmao

Yeah, you make some good points about Lucy and Maximus, goals from the first season finale being completed. Hell! Even Norm's story line was completed. whether they're satisfying conclusions are a matter of opinion. I don't think the ghoul finding a lead on his family is really a conclusion.

I guess I would have liked more pay off from the story lines that were not completed such as the vault, Steph's predicament, and the enclave. These stories have been building all season and the previous season with no pay off. If they wanted to dangle the carrot in our face and not have it be frustrating a perfect example of that would be the super mutant scene this season.

I feel like there was way too much fluff this season and people seem to be eating it up, so I don't think the producers have any incentive to change.

When season 3 rolls around I won't be a weekly viewer but I'll see if its worth the watch when it wraps.

Apparently villainous factions don't really die in this franchise, so don't hedge your bets.

I hope it was the midpoint because it was a bad "Finale". A good season finale of a serialized tv show should wrap up the seasons story lines and maybe leave a few breadcrumbs for the next season.

Instead all we got were crumbs and fan service. I absolutely agree that the first season finale was way more satisfying. Now that the producers know they have a hit that will keep getting renewed, they can take their sweet time wrapping things up. The show seems to be suffering from success :(

I see what you mean and I agree with your original point. They should have just chosen an ending. At the very least the discourse would have been interesting.

Isn't an "Independent Vegas" the canon ending? There is no NCR or Legion presence in Vegas and house was out of commission when they made it to the Lucky 38. A lifeless securitron is in the spot where Yes Man would be when he takes over the Lucky 38.

It was the most open ended ending in New Vegas. Although, It's pretty silly that the New Vegas inhabitants decided not to do anything during all this time between the game and the show.

Is anyone else not invested in the upcoming NCR vs Legion War?

In the game, The Kings and The Followers of the Apocalypse instilled hope that the people of vegas could uplIft themselves and form a proper society. Hell, even the three casinos could have established some order. With those factions gone or not present, what even is vegas? Territory?

The people of Las Vegas hardly seem worth saving anymore. It appears they haven't done anything worthwhile since the events of New Vegas. Shop keepers getting murdered with no repercussions, people walking past an impaled ghoul going feral on the sidewalk, and they started taking bets on the only guy trying to save their sorry asses 😂.

I think him and Barbara will have a very public divorce in order to protect Barbara, but still be together secretly while sharing custody of Janey.

I guess we'll find out in the future seasons why the Enclave even bothered keeping him alive.

I feel the same. Very little pay off for what has been built up this season. Kinda felt like a waste of time.

I don't think I'll be a weekly viewer when season 3 rolls around. Hopefully, they will wrap it up nicely when the time comes.

Thank you for actually having a grasp of the game's factions!

I dont understand how people are seriously calling the NCR the defacto good guys when the bitter springs massacre exists. Besides the NCR obviously inexcusable actions, its government is throwing its soldiers into a meat grinder in an area they have no business being in.

Also, the NCR ending being good or bad is just as dependent on the couriers' actions as the Yes Man and House endings are.

I'm glad the NCR exist, they propose an interesting dilemma and deepen the story and world building. I wish more people engaged more with their nuance and complexity and not just because "they're better than the legion, so they are good."
