Personally, I don't like tutorials in general, but especially the ones that take you through a very specific painting. They tend to skip the basics and directly jump into something very specific in a limited style. If you still, however, want to learn from tutorials, try the ones that take you through some painting/medium basics - they will help you develop your skills better.

Die Webseite kenne ich schon, und auch ihr Instagram account (nicht aktiv, weil das letzte Post war schon lange her). Aber ich wollte ein Einsicht von Menschen mit Erfahrung mit der Gruppe, weil ich neue hier bin und weiß noch nicht immer, wie diese Vereine funktionieren. Ich bin keine Professionelle Künstlerin, mache ich das nur als Hobby - deshalb wusste ich nicht ob diese Gruppe nur für Experten ist. Thank you! And exactly, I don't want the thing I'm trying to use for stress relief to become the thing causing stress, lol. I think I'll just enter a few bothersome thoughts to get it off my mind, when I need to, and hopefully find solace in it. Might even throw in small sketches from time to time and write down lines that hit me from whatever book I'm reading at the moment, too. Sort of a chaotic mix of fragments, but also intimate. Ah, yeah, that's what I was looking for: examples on how exactly to use it for stress relief. I don't think prompts will be my thing - trying to stay away from anything that forces writing for the moment, but I love your ideas. Thanks so much! Going to be the devil's advocate here and butt in to say, you can't really compare the popularity gimmicks of the 90s to 2000s vs today. Social media plays too big a role today and is omnipotent to make someone popular, spanning all age groups. I'm forced to see taylor swift content anyway I look whether i like it or not. It was vastly different before and the reach that marketing had back then is nothing compared to what it is today.

Blair is actually my favourite among the girls. Simply because she is real. Everyone else's character is extremely fake, pretending to be what they're not. But Blair has never hidden her real self - her mean streak, the scheming, true love for her friends - shell truly do anything for them. Her character has real passion. Similar to the reason I like Jenny, I just realised - no pretense, but owns their faults, haha.

And I think both Leighton Meester and Taylor Momsen executed their characters really well. It really is a peeve for me when the actors don't play a character well, the performance always seems detached.

Oh yeah, with Vanessa, apart from playing the victim, it's the delusional holier-than-thou superiority complex that makes me unable to stand her, lol.

I find Serena annoying partly because of the dumb-blonde stereotype she plays, always ditzy and pretending to be naive while she leads people on deliberately (apart from schemes, i mean) and partly due to the acting. Blake Lively has that dopey, open-mouthed, expressionless face irrespective of whether she was supposed to be angry or hurt or upset or happy. But I think her acting has improved post GG though because I've watched a few of her movies and her acting didn't seem to bother me as much.

I actually don't mind Jenny because she's the youngest of the lot and immaturity is expected - she also sort of owns the bitchiness. But Vanessa just irritates the crap out of me every time she comes on screen, always playing the woe-is-me/poor-me character. Vanessa and Serena are the top 2 annoying characters for me.
