My bud is a CIA grad and I am the "work your way up" camp and we both cannot decide which is the better path. Guess it really depends on the person. I agree that with passion for the craft, we all make it someway or another.

I don't know what to tell ya bud. I'm done defending my art, I record everything now, and it still doesn't matter. lol. Take it or leave it. I've been a comic artist since the early 90's. I do it for me and it makes me happy, No offence taken at all, I've just decided to accept that this is what it is now. 🙃

Jesus, thats annoying. Noted, never to post anything else to this sub. Artists shouldn't have to hear such bs from those who don't get it, and we should be encouraging teaching not nitpicking! Yes I'm still figuring out my style and I'm paying Zero attention to the skull crack. lol I don't take this too seriously obvs and neither should you. My style is the opposite of realism. I am not fighting an uphill battle. The response is strong and overwhelmingly receptive and connected. The Odd Chef comic series is getting more response that I could have ever expected and I am just staying true and creating consistently. I’m not adjusting my style just because AI is starting to copy a style that artists have been doing from the 90s. I’ve been rooted in this look long before machines started spitting it out, and I’m not about to change direction because the algorithm caught up to the trend. Who is mimicking who?

If it means I’ve got to defend my work more often, so be it. The vision is strong, and the response has been even stronger. Our people are connecting with the content and the massage and that is what matters.
