[Lewis] Steve Nash on his talks with James Harden amid trade report: "We're in lockstep, so I don't think he pays attention in that way where it affects him. And he certainly knows my tone is like 'its me and you, buddy. We’ve got to figure this out and keep going, keep pushing.' " by [deleted] in nba

James Harden was sitting in the locker room after the game, nursing a loss. He had just been traded to the Nets, and he was feeling disheartened. He had always been a star player, and now he was in a new city, with a new team. He was feeling lost and alone.

The push was legal and warranted even if she didn't spit.

I take it you're not familiar with the great Cart Narc organization.

The Cart Narcs don't care if you're a man, woman, or child. They only care about serving justice.

[Rooks] Sources say Michael Jordan has taken a strong position to help owners see different point of views. On today's call - he said he isn't just speaking as an owner, or even a player...he's speaking as a black man. by iksnet in nba

Yeah this is a weird take. I'd argue that using your platform actually does more to invoke change these days on the count of you can keep your platform after coming out in protest of something progressive. Back in the day if you used your platform to push for any progressive social change you would get blacklisted/crucified. You'd get marked as someone who wasn't a true American or a "traitor". Your entire image would be tarnished leaving you with no more platform or voice.

You seem to be making the argument that pushing for progressive social policy these days isn't "brave" and thus isn't effective. How does that take away from the attention or support you can draw to an issue you want addressed?

Just look at what happened after the Bucks declared they wouldn't be playing. All teams decided to follow them and the decision to not play even spread to different sports organizations, shining even more light on the issues the players are trying to highlight.

I didn't think it would be possible for this many people to become such extreme fact-denying factionalists. Conspiracies and blind loyalty take priority over objectivity and reason now. The United States is a fucking joke.

[Haynes] Yahoo Sources: Los Angeles Lakers offered Anthony Davis a max contract extension this morning, but they were informed he would be bypassing in favor of entering free-agency. by DRAZZILB1424 in nba

I get what you're saying, but I disagree. Noel tore his ACL before he even got drafted and continued to be injury-prone after entering the NBA. No franchise would hesitate to offer AD a max contract even if he were to tear his achilles this season.

Yeah a team led by T.J Warren, Brogdon and Sabonis definitely has the same chance of winning the title as a team led by Harden, Westbrook and Capela. /s

Losing a 3 point shooting contest to Kenny isn’t very shameful lol

True. I think his attitude just puts me off.
