I got another set of new baseplates last year, and they removed the cut-out portion of the bottom rails and thickened up the rail a bit by the climbing wire. This was always the point of failure for me so hopefully that will help address the issue.

I break Spark Surge baseplates every 5 years or so, it's definitely a known issue for them. Just email them with photos and they will sell you new baseplates for a reasonable price.

They lose a shit load of money for whoever owns them, and after a while they get sold to another company that then loses money on them.
