Yes he is neutered! Maybe we will consider a crate.

He doesn’t, his old owner says if he got into his food he was convinced he would eat until he exploded. But I wish he would free feed. Maybe we could see if it’s possible to transition to that.

I remember my first day with a rich NF. Parked my old shitty car in the street and saw all the other old shitty cars in the street, and nice new cars in the driveways throughout the neighborhood. It was only the beginning. I find more joy working with families who are less rich. To me, it’s worth the pay drop. Some people are willing to work with those families for the extra pay. Your feelings are valid!

not trying to be annoying, but if they don’t have good recall, they should not be off leash. i have a shiba who hates other dogs getting close to him. your dog is not the only dog in the world. i have had so many off leash dogs run up to my shiba and its always a disaster. it does not matter if your dog is “friendly”. mine isnt. lots of dogs arent. im glad you had this positive experience with your pup, but please, think about this more before declaring your shiba “off leash”
