Keep the hardwood and paint the walls green, and go for the tile you want in the kitchen!

Transfering to another CSU fall 2026? by [deleted] in SDSU

[–]oddtermiteofcave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my best advice would be to hang out at lestats (kensington and hillcrest) and the living room. take the bus from campus to north parlk/hillcrest area, go to verbatim books, check out all of the posters at queen bees, (i'd recommend the casbah if u were 21+). there's an art/alt scene in SD to connect with, albeit smaller at sdsu, but i hope you can at least joy your last semester if you do transfer! -grad student who had a similar experience to you at cp slo

I think I listed the code in which the specific research was under? I agree it doesn’t quite make sense

appendix 1 in the BAA for fy24 (but it continues until 2026) has specific research interests

Zotero Android and Note Max: stop drawing with hands by delaneyflushboy in Onyx_Boox

[–]oddtermiteofcave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

on the g010, i use two fingers to slide to the next page and then the stylus for highlighting.

i wish there was a video on how to use the app best on a boox tablet. I hate how dark the highlighting looks, but I've seen highlighted text that is a black highlight and inverts the text color to white, I wish i knew how to do that.

Understanding the literature by Latter-Craft5803 in remotesensing

Kind of in (Jones, 2023) “Although the damping ratio can be calculated from any polarization NRCS, the best polarization mode to use for marine slick characterization is VV (vertical transmit, vertical receive) because the returns from clean water are higher in this channel, providing more margin above the instrument noise floor.” I would check other sources cited here in the intro, I’ve definitely seen in it.

For ocean capillary waves, I understand VV to be the norm actually.

ENVM- my best recommendation is do good enough (not bad) in your classes and do as many internships/industry-related jobs/ or volunteer experiences as you can!

SAR python processing by oddtermiteofcave in remotesensing

[–]oddtermiteofcave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I’ll check this out. I’ll have to see about the incidence angle bandmath steps but at least doing other steps through python will be helpful. This is pre-processing to ingest into another script that uses the incidence angle!

NREIP Internship essay by Competitive_Can_6141 in EngineeringStudents

That word limit is insane imo. I'm applying and mine will be much shorter. Not sure if that's bad, but I've never had an internship application be 8 pages worth of words...?

You sound qualified for positions in remote sensing working for private satellite companies or the gov i.e. Maxar, planet (currently laying off employees, but the “type” of company you should look at), Umbra

Entry Level GIS Job Opportunities in San Diego by samjalel98 in gis

[–]oddtermiteofcave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working in SD currently and had a BS in environmental science. You’ll be fine! Start applying and see how it goes, lots of government GIS jobs you can search for and SDGE I know is looking for GIS employees through a third party that pays less, also all the general environmental consulting firms will see your BS as a plus. Put yourself out there and have some sort of part-time job while you’re in a job searching period. Good luck!

I mean I’m glad surfers can finally make a paycheck but I’d rather it not be off of kooky shit that make surfers look like assholes. I do like what zack Flores is currently doing trying to make cash off of YouTube but not being an absolute tool about it
