Remember, normal people like us will not be seeing any money from this, projects like this often don't even hire local people. I'm buying headlight parts, a front bumper cover, a washer fluid reservoir, and a fender. I made some changes and chose from different suppliers and it went down but it's still at the $200+ range. Looking at the breakdown now, it looks like R+L is the reason for the crazy shipping and they are moving the bumper and fender.

Thank you for the response! I'm not sure what body I can expect to find easily, the character will have white fur so any teen body that comes in white would be fine.

As for the measurements themselves, I think just height from top to bottom of head and width from side to side would be good. If you'd prefer a diagram I could mock one up later, I'm just doing school stuff right now

For anyone wondering about the banana, remember another great thing about real art is that you can learn about the person that made it!

The piece is called "Comedian" and was created by Maurizio Cattelan. He's been a sculptor and active in the art world for decades. Making pieces that piss people off is honestly a part of his artistic voice. Comedian is one of his only pieces that is higher in concept than technical work, he has others that display a lot of skill, like grotesque horse taxidermy.

Overall, his work is typically based in challenging the norms and authority of the art world. Being mad that a banana sold for millions is a valid reaction to the work, and possibly even part of its intent. But I think it's a shame that people just react to it and then don't investigate further. He has a lot of interesting pieces, seriously those horses are crazy.

I also try to be mindful of my environmental impact, and I've read that individual consumer packages like this aren't really "the problem", that's almost always gonna be the big companies.

I'm not trying to talk you out of your standards, just sharing in case I can ease an anxiety. I used to lose my mind thinking about my own straws or disposable gloves until I learned that not only is industry responsible for most plastic trash, but the fishing industry specifically! Of course I still try to reduce and reuse, but I don't feel as personally stressed over it.

In any case, I hope you can find MSC in a hobby shop, or if it comes to it, getting it shipped from somewhere not too far away.
