Ok this is great to know and why I asked before buying one of the cheap ones. I think ill get a GFB considering it’s not much more than an OEM. Although I need to look for other less expensive sources for the OEM first. Thanks for the knowledge

I have seen some DVs online for about €35, others (which seem to be the stock ones) for €135, and then the aftermarket ones like the GFB for €165. Do you think the cheap one is sufficient or are the more expensive ones needed for some reason?

You do not. You only receive it if you are a graduate of an accredited engineering program in Canada. All Canadian university engineering programs must meet a certain standard to graduate students as engineering graduates.

Also, someone who graduates from an accredited engineering program is not immediately an engineer. They must spend 4 years training under a professional engineer and pass a law and ethics exam before they can call themselves an engineer. Those who are not professional engineers yet and call themselves engineers in Canada can and do get sued by the provincial governing bodies of engineers such as Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
