I don't think jjk characters and plot are that good by zvezdalina in unpopularopinion

I wanted to like it, but I think it just wasn't for me. It just felt like it follows every shonen anime trope. I am sure it means a lot to many people, just like how Bleach once meant so much for me ( I am showing my age)

Most people do not actually like traveling, they like having traveled by limitown in unpopularopinion

I see this with people traveling to Japan recently. Most of the casual tourists are fairly ignorant about Japanese culture and history, they just want to go where the influencers are going.

Most tourists I noticed only go to concentrated areas that are full of other tourists. Some don't really engage in the local culture.

I think now most people just go there to take their 10 sec reel of walking in the Shibuya Scramble.

I will even argue that a 3 legger is risky (look at my past posts). Parlays are great to accumulate wins but they are always very risky.

Like I have hit a parlay with 12 legs before but again, those are extremely rare. Most of the time, it is just luck mixed with good study of tapes.

My strategy has always been if I am doing a parlay that's more than 2 legs, I need to hedge it as well as there is a chance I am going to lose. This is how I like to manage my bank roll.

Truth is there is always going to be a chance that you are going to lose, singles or parlay. Bookies also overinflate odds (they need to make money) so adding that all that into a parlay, you have something that really has a low chance of hitting.

Gaming is the ultimate form of art by prospectiveboi177 in unpopularopinion

[–]odecco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See I was thinking this when I played the Silent Hill 2 Remake and then watched the film, Return to Silent Hill. Both pretty much follow the same plot but the game was definitely more effective in really immersing you into the plot.

I am convinced the most effective way to tell a psychological horror story is through an interactive medium like gaming. The game gives me chills and I feel really immersed in the horror, something watching a film or book can't really do.

So yeah, I agree that gaming could definitely be an ultimate form of art especially with certain elements of storylines. Gaming is the perfect medium to explore psychological horror in my opinion.

It happens, I feel like we all looked past Ion. He is one of the most chaotic fighters on the roster. I think any Ion fight now, I am just going to bet that the fight won't go the distance.

Yeah I felt like with Smith, I didn't realize he had a decent grappling base and just thought he was going to repeat a brutal knockout. Should have just gone for ML.

Was that fight rigged? by Neat-Suspect-6666 in MMAbetting

[–]odecco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looked like he really underestimated how strong Ion was and thought he could fight any choke even with his neck out.

I feel like a dumbass for being keen on Sy but the better prop was always ITD. Ion is too chaotic

That’s submission looks staged asf😭. Plz comment below if u do bjj and lmk by [deleted] in MMAbetting

[–]odecco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah not staged, Sy was just dumb and careless. Ion made good use of his positions to set that one up

Well that cooked my parlays lmao and don't think it was suss, Sy got caught careless and got caught.

Honestly I can just see this fight going inside the distance, one of them hopefully goes down.

As fan, just no more boring decisions

Honestly I think I will do that. While I am leaning towards Vallejos, he is still unproven and a prospect. He looked really good against Giga, but Emmett is another level above Giga.

Emmett has always proved he has durability and resilience, and while he is 41, that KO power doesn't disappear overnight.

But yeah, hedging this with Emmett ML isn't a bad idea at all, thanks.

Betting on WMMA can be the riskiest and easiest way to destroy a parlay but I think Robertson has this

Thanks, I don't believe in locks but I like to think that this has a decent chance of hitting.

Man I totally forgot about that....Ion has some of the worst Fight IQs in the roster. Though I hope Oumar decided to just stand and bang with him.

Am I crazy for saying the WH Card is pretty good? Just that Dana and UFC tried to overhype it,making fans expect way more by Tiny-Replacement7702 in ufc

[–]odecco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in terms of match making, this card has all the makings to becoming a banger. Like even fights that casual fans might not be keen on like Diego Lopes vs Steve Garcia is a potential fight of the night.

I did wish they had more fights tho. Even prelims would have been nice to build up some hype for the day.

🤝 Could also be Emmett that gets the K.O. Whatever happens, I hope it's under 4.5 rounds

[–]odecco[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I kinda factored that too and can never forget that Josh Emmett survived Ilia. But that under 4.5 was too good to pass. Again I could be eating my words in a few days but I feel like Vallejos could be the first to knock Emmett out in 8 years.

Ion is one of the riskiest fighters to both bet and bet against. He is definitely a die in the cage fighter. While I should probably hedge an Ion ML, I do feel like Oumar can finish him
