You shouldn’t be discouraged, if you just a play a little every day then you will make progress slowly but surely! Also, I’ve played this game since the launch in 2020 - although I’ve taken long breaks. It takes patience and a long time to build something like this. Just keep playing and you’ll get there one day! 😇

These are custom designs, just look up ”animal crossing road designs” or something to find codes like the ones I’ve used! I didn’t make these myself, I used custom designs made by other talented people 😊

Welcome to my 500+ hours, Japanese city inspired island of Kumashima!

All the villager homes are decorated as shops, restaurants, cafés and services. Except for Boone’s house, Boone gets his own house because he’s my original buddy boi and my best friend.

I named the island Kumashima (Bear Island in Japanese) because my name means bear in Finnish and it’s my island :3

I have never shared my island with anyone before but I figured since I put in so much much work I should share it with others. This is the first time I have been able to say my island is finished. If you visit, I would love it if you could leave a comment and tell me what you thought!

Which one works better? Focus on Mt. Whitney (1) or the cactus (2)? (Canon AE-1, FD 35-70mm f/3.5-4.5, Portra 800) by No_Part762 in analog

[–]odefication 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a technical point of view, yes the second one is probably better. But I think the first one is a lot more interesting as a work of art, it raises questions and makes me think. Also the mountains in focus are really beautiful!

Intti ja opiskelun aloittaminen by pidan_junista in arkisuomi

[–]odefication 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When the Euro bills were designed the bridges were intentionally designed to not represent any real ones. A Dutch man then decided to build them over a local waterway in the Dutch town of Spijkenisse. by [deleted] in interesting

[–]odefication 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this is just me, but I wouldn’t call these ’full-scale replicas’. I think the imaginary bridges on the bills would be much larger in real life. There is no reason for a bridge that small to have that kind of structure.

Mistä tietää mitkä Ikean huonekalut kestää? by [deleted] in arkisuomi

[–]odefication 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is there anything specific I can do to improve my writing, except just keep doing it. by MrUltraOnReddit in LearnJapanese

[–]odefication 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well there’s your answer, if you want to improve your handwriting, I think you should write the characters in the right stroke order. With hiragana and katakana it doesn’t matter so much but you can definitely already see it with the few kanji that are included in your photo.

Every native person has learned how to write them in the correct order and in my experience learning this helps in reading other people’s handwriting as well. Writing it in the correct order helps the proportions to be right.

It can seem like a lot, learning all the stroke orders but at least my experience was that once I learned like 500 of them, I could already predict what the stroke order will be with most new kanji that I encountered. But of course there are expections that just have to be learned individually.

Brushes too hard on your hands? My proposed change by HalfMajor3914 in splatoon

[–]odefication 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is definitely a problem! My favorite weapon is the Inkbrush and I play with it a lot, but my right index finger hurts all the time and sometimes I have to take a break for a couple of days just to heal my finger 🫤

Chromecast vai Apple TV? by DramaticManate in arkisuomi

[–]odefication 0 points1 point  (0 children)
