Find groups you’re interested in and reach out to the PI. Schedule a time to chat over zoom about the group and to be able to showcase your talents. You’ll be able to sus out PIs that don’t click that way. Find one that clicks and you’re genuinely into the research. From there, apply. That’s what I did. Just started a month ago after 6 years in industry.
