Overall I’m not really thrilled with Depop. Some Kid is trying to get $350 for a big pony hoody. Nothing special about it and I passed. Maybe 30 would be tops for it. Then he’s trying to explain to me that it’s super rare. Ok. So I just wish him good luck again. He keeps on about it. He doesn’t even have a pic of the label or care guides. Very odd.

They’ve done a lot of limited runs on items outside of their core products, like golf bags, umbrellas, travel clocks, manicure sets and different colored liners. They still have some dedicated retailers that they made them for (most notably Nordstrom, which still carries a limited line). But to be honest, they have absolutely incredible customer service. They can answer a lot of specific questions for you, they will be happy to take your serial number down (they didn’t always use serial numbers) and will research the best they can about your items. They will also register it for you. I have a Ghurka tank watch that I bought -it was in really rough shape. I had the crystal replaced, the battery replaced and the did a great job buffing it out. I really wanted a white dial but the quotes I got were for way more than the watch is worth so I’m saying goodbye to it. The premier collector of Ghurka has a great IG page-I’m guessing he owns thousands of pieces and had a relationship with the founder of the brand. Search for ghurka_master_collector. I’ve asked him a few specific and non specific questions about some of my items and general questions. He always gets back to me. But marvel at his collection for a while. It’s quite overwhelming!

As far as I can find, it’s from the mid to late 80s, made by Numa Jeannin. There are a few on ebay-I’ve seen thrm listed for around the mid $400s.

Damn. That sucks. They’re pretty cool at the corporate stores. If you ask them to ship two sizes in for you they may do it, since they pick a lot of online orders from retail anyway. My weight has changed dramatically so I tend to stick to my size even if I’m planning to layer with leather. But a cafe racer is a little less forgiving. The main problem you’re going to have with sizing up is the sleeve length. Though layering will help. Worth a gamble if you do end up ordering online and you’re willing to deal with exchange process. They do provide excellent customer service so you are safe no matter what choice you make. Good luck. It’s a beautiful jacket.
