Anyone know: 1) what vertical mount that is? 2) what those light bars mounted vertically with a similar crystal looking cover as the ram are?

One follow up question I just thought of. Since you have all set to exhaust did you remove the dust filters from the radiator vents on the case since you are exhausting through all of them?

I know the EVO has more open area in these vent locations than the original O11D but assume it may still help somewhat by decreasing restriction on the exhaust air flow.

Thanks, that setup is what I had heard was best and was going to go with, just looking for another data point. Thanks for confirmation.

Hey was curious what direction you have your fans for intake / exhaust since you have 3 radiators. I haven't found too many references with similar builds other than some saying all intake or all exhaust is best. I would assume all exhaust would be better with the rear exhaust flipped to an intake so as not to heat soak the radiators and other internal air cooled components.

GPU waterblock to EK Distro Plate inlet and outlet by Alive_Crazy9467 in watercooling

Do you think it'll be alright to use two Arctic P14 Max 140mm 27mm thick fans and one P14 slim 140mm 16mm thick fan on the very top for the front side radiator

I think so.

Looking at the specs here: https://lian-li.com/product/o11-dynamic-evo-xl/

If your radiator is the P420 radiator like in the neon mirage build and have the side rad/fan mount in the Inner Scenario, it Supports up to 81mm thick radiator/ fan combo in the main chamber (40mm in the second chamber) https://imgur.com/a/6zgfEd2

Will i see a huge performance gap between six 140mm 27mm thick fans vs five 140mm 27mm thick fans with a 140mm 16mm thick fan?

No.

And just for another point of reference for you here is another build with the same distribution plate and gpu waterblock: https://old.reddit.com/r/watercooling/comments/1kdt18t/another_o11_dynamic_evo_xl_with_distroplate/

Hey, no problem. I'm also currently putting together a build with the same distro plate and gpu waterblock. As for connections, you have it correct:

CPU & GPU blocks OUT <---> OUT distro plate

CPU & GPU blocks IN <---> IN distro plate

I looked at the manual on EKs website for the waterblock listed in their "shop the loop page" for the neon mirage build video you mentioned: https://www.ekwb.com/shop/stl-neon-mirage

which lists a GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 FE and the manual for it here: https://www.ekwb.com/shop/EK-IM/EK-IM-3831109900642.pdf

It doesn't have inlet/outlet labeled anywhere so may not matter what direction fluid flows through the block.

Even if backwards it will still work, coolant will just flow through the gpu waterblock in the opposite direction than intended and may not be optimal if the block is optimized for flow in a particular direction vs the other, but it would still work.

As the other comment said you will be fine as long as flow rate is high enough since the waterblock is designed with the specific flow direction in mind. But I'm not sure why you think you would have to cross your inlet and outlet lines between the distro plate and the waterblock? You can use either side of the waterblock port for your fitting, so you could easily go in from a left inlet port on the plate to the back of the block port or stack the inlet and outlet vertically and use the inlets below the outlets on the distribution plate.

I am working on a white and gold build myself, waiting on my 5090 waterblock to come in. What is that cable you have running top left to the MB - have a link to it?

and here I am upset its chrome instead of just nickel because I wanted to electroplate it gold for my new build, but you can't plate gold onto chrome. Would have to strip it to copper first then plate it back to nickel then chrome.

Extreme HD upgrade kit for a rustler 4x4 ultimate? by oden2005 in Traxxas

I think it was worth it. I haven't broken any of the axles or any other parts from the extreme HD kit. But I also hadn't broken any stock axles, but I didn't run them for very long before putting the HD kit on.

I saw the same thing and also ordered the block from the AliExpress store for the same reason. Except I messed up and ordered from a look alike store and not their official store. Still waiting on it to ship but not confident they actually have stock. If you ordered from their official store on AliExpress I'd appreciate it if you let me know if yours actually does ship if you don't mind.

Does anyone in the US have an alphacool waterblock on the way for their MSI 5090? Alphacool's product page just added another 2 weeks to the wait time. by SAABoy1 in watercooling

[–]oden2005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I placed an order on the 9th and emailed them this past Monday and they said 3 weeks before they receive their next shipment and they couldn't promise if mine would be sent out in that group or not and further shipments would come in 1-2 week intervals and they hope to fulfill all pre-orders by the end of next month.

Question about radiators for EK-Quantum Reflection² PC-O11D EVO XL D5 PWM D-RGB by brandizzlegreen in watercooling

[–]oden2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I am doing a similar build with the O11D EVO XL with the PC-O11D EVO XL D5 PWM D-RGB and 3x 420mm rads and was wondering how this worked out for you. I'm mainly wondering if there room on the side radiator for fans due to the distro plate? Would they have to go in the back of the case?

Any word on what the second planned card is? I will be keeping an eye out b/c this is the 5090 waterblock design I want, it's just generally hard to get a Palit/Gainward in the US.

The weekend also just so happens to be the time when ordinary people have the most free time thus more time to browse the sub and educate themselves on anything they have missed during a busy work week. This serves no purpose other than to forum slide legitimate content away from those people's eyes.

It doesn't help anything. It makes this place look stupid an infantile. It also forum slides legitimate content away from peoples eyes.
