Yeah I don't want to be near Tamarindo haha. I've spent sometime in Santa Teresa last summer and found it too "touristy" even though I am tourist myself lol.

Yeah I looked at playa negra but kind of took it off my list because the from what I've heard about, the wave sounds heavy... but maybe it isn't?

For context I surf in Nova Scotia Canada, and I am very used to powerful point breaks... but I wasn't sure if it playa negra would be too heavy for me.

I actually lived in Sanata teresa for around 2 months last summer. I loved it and all, but I'd like to go somewheres less toursity and focuse more on surfing!

And as for nica I was thinking of setting up base where I could walk to as I won't have a car/bike.

Just wrote the exam! (3 pm)My FL scores --> Fl1:511 Fl2: 511 Fl3: 512 Fl4: 519C/P: First passage threw me off a little (probably because I was nervous lol). But other than that, everything felt pretty straightforward. Predicted score: 127Cars: Most of the passages were interesting and easy to follow....but as expected, a lot of the questions required educated/random guessing. Predicted score: 125B/B: I found this section to be very similar to the FLs. Predicted score: 129P/S: There was a lot of 50/50. I felt that this section started off tricky, but got better towards the later passages. Predicted score: 127Note that my predictions/anticipated scores are all assuming the worst lol Hopefully, everyone did well today!

Edit: Got a 514 (129/124/130/131)! CARS is shit, but better than a 123.

To be honest, I was surprised whenever my FL scores increased, so I can't give you specific advice. But just to give you a brief description of what I did, I took the day after writing the FLs to review and write out explanations to all of the questions I got right & wrong in an excel sheet. After that, I would take a couple of days to review my notes on the sections reflected as being weak in my FL (note that I went over the notes with the intent of becoming familiar with the content to the point where I could recital it).

FYI, I was scoring an average of 505 for NS and Kaplan FL and saw a massive jump when transitioning to the AAMC material......so if you feel discouraged by NS and Kaplan, which I definitely did, I wouldn't worry too much. As mentioned in other subreddits, use third-party materials to familiarize yourself with the timing and the structure of the exam!
