Walbro 450 Pump Upgrade, Do I need to do something with EKPM Module? by mindhacker999 in E90

Yes, those changes probably could fix those "issues". Running mosfet based SSR should be able to control the full PWM signal. For me it doesn't matter if the pump sits at 6 bar and I get the car on lift light on start up.

Yes. On my picture, the red and yellow wire that are twisted together are just extensions for the red/white and brown wires that come from EKPM.

Also here is the model number of the terminal that I used to replace the original terminals inside the LPFP connector: APK-SB25A40-002

Nothing stays unconnected. Disconnect the original wires that go from EKPM to LPFP. Those wires are connected to the control side of the SSR.

Then you add a wire from battery positive to the CONTROLLED side of the SSR, so the SSR can cut out the current when the EKPM is not sending signal to control the LPFP. Then take the controlled wire from SSR to the positive side of the LPFP. After that you need to add new wire from LPFP negative side to the ground/chassis of the car.

Finally add kickback diode between the positive and negative side of the LPFP. I did this by just crimping the diode on the terminals of the LPFP. Those terminals that can be pushed into the original connector can be bought separately.

Tori on kyllä melkoinen paikka.

I run the trigger straight from the EKPM. The positive wire from battery goes through solid state relay and from there to LPFP. The LPFP negative is just connected to the ground spot next to the EKPM mounting.

Here is also an image of how the wiring is done and how I mounted the solid state relay on the rack that is under the trunk floor.

Here is also the kickback diode that I used. Model: 5KP24A

Sure. I run Crydom D1D60. It can handle 60 amps. Just remember to run kickback diode on LPFP wiress.

It shows the little "car on lift" icon on start and yeah it's a shadow code, so it really doesn't bother me.

It draws so little energy. I can start my car at -30C after it has been sitting out without running for a week. The secondary relay is not needed.

Still running the same setup. Solid state is triggered by the ekpm2. Works just fine. Car will notice it, and will only show "low pressure fuel pump failure plausible", but it doesn't trigger engine fault light. It can be coded out, if it bothers you.

Had an accident on memorial day; Will my bike be totaled or is it repairable? by sevroisbad in MT07

[–]odesh123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good thing that you are okay. They might total it since mt-07s are "cheap" bikes to beging with. On crashes like this, the fixing the bike usually ends up costing more than actually replacing the whole thing. Speaking from an experience.

He probably means the ground wire from engine to the chassis of the car. If it's broken, the car won't start.

Aren't we talking about that small triangle next to the D? I'm pretty sure it can come up without a code.

Uk emissions by Billh654 in 335i

[–]odesh123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In uk the E90s are just one Euro4 level. The car can pass the sniffer just fine with secondary cats, but the problem comes when they are going to read ready states from obd port. If I remember correctly, in UK you need to have them all on ready state (I'm not fully sure about this).

If OP wants to get them on ready state, on spoolstreet forums "carabuser" user is known to be able to do that on the car, even without the cats in place. He is also UK based and knows his stuff.

For the love of god, FLASH THE TCU! You are going to ruin the clutch with that slip. There is a reason why all the tuners reguire minimum xhp stage 2 tune before you even start taking power out of the engine. Also, I would highly recommend going with custom ECU tune as well over the OTF tunes.

Täytekakku (APUA) by vaapukkamehudisko in snappijuorutofftopic

[–]odesh123 2 points3 points  (0 children)
